Ball in the air!!!!!!! But no one home and another single for Lee. Finally Australia have won a hard fought contest here. A very good match with both teams putting their best. Lee and Hogg kept their nerves and won a very important match for their team. Australia successfully chased 281 runs with 8 balls left.

Sachin Tendulkar was declared Man of the Match dule to his brilliant hundred. For Australia main highlight was a great 75 from Martyn which put Australia close to a win. A great morale boosting win for the World Champions.

Thats a disappointment for the great century by Tendulkar! He again ends up in the losing side! Its always his luck even in video games that he contributes so much and yet ends up on the losing side and is blamed for the defeat!

No one can ever blame a batsmen for the defeat who scored a century. Disappointment for India but a great win for Australia because they needed a win to establish themselves as Champion once again . After this win Aussies have once again become favoirite of this tournament. Now both India and Australia have to play their semi-finals against New Zealand and if they both wins then it is going to be a great final.

Its going to be an India vs England and an Australia vs New Zealand semifinal! England has been selected to play in the semifinal due to their good show in this tournament!

Both promise to be high octane encounters! The final would be played as decided in India!

Australia vs New Zealand

The first of the two semi-finals for Planetcricket Super Cup will be played between Australia and New Zealand at Lord's.

Sky Sports will bring the live telecast of this match in which two arch rivals will fight for a place in the final.

In a press meating one day before the start of match, Ponting had following to say

"New Zealand is a very good side and they are very competitive in one day matches but our boys are in great form and have their morale high after a great win over India. We have defeated New Zealand in the recent matches and we are fully capable of doing it again."

Fleming also addressed the press and had following to say

"Australia is a world class team and it will hard to beat them. Our team is short of practise after videocon cup but I will warn Australia not to come in relax frame of mind or they will have to face a humiliating defeat in our hands."

Update - we have been just informed that Cairns will miss the match due to knee injury.

Hello and welcome everyone to sky sport's live coverage of the semi-final match of the Planetcricket Super Cup Series. I am Michael Slater and right now I am standing in middle of Lord's cricket ground. Its a lovely day with clear sun shine and we hope a great game of cricket. Pich is hard and grassless and looks to be rolled very heavilly. A tough pitch for bowlers but there will be some help early on for seamers with the new ball.

Now lets go to the toss where the two captains are waiting for us with Richard Hadlee.


Hadlee: Your call Ricky
Ponting: Heads

And it is Heads and Australia has won the toss

Hadlee: Congratulations Ponting. A good toss to win. What will you want to do and any changes in team?
Ponting: Thanks Richard. We will like to bowl first because there looks some moisture on the pitch and lately we are chasing well against all teams. No change in the team that played against India.

Hadlee:Bad start for New Zealand as you lost the toss
Fleming: Actuall if we had won the toss we would have liked to bat first. So, I am still happy after losing the toss.

Fleming: Yes one change with Cairns is not playing due to injury but rest of the team is same.
