I get thrown the ball in T20's quite often as a number 3 ...part-time off-spin is pretty useful in that format, so I guess that's why?

I'm Captain across all T20 clubs as well, so maybe that makes a difference? I usually don't bring myself on but the AI will put me on if we're getting smashed.

Well you won't be bowling very often don't get your hopes up too high. As a batsman I've only ever really been bowled in limited overs games and even then only get thrown the ball maybe once a season really if that.

I chose batsman and at no.2 position. Haven't started to play in career mode actually. Just made those settings.

Does anyone know how selection in career mode works? I'm a pure batsman, so what criteria would I need to fulfill for international selection?

In career mode I'm a rightie wrist spinner and bat at No 8. I get to bowl quite regularly which I enjoy. I 'tolerate' batting (don't enjoy it). My usual 3 to 4 overs at the crease is enough for me.

As a batsman, It's down to your performances in a particular format. My advice is to focus on one specific format in career mode and rack up a series of high scores and MoTM awards across a number of matches and you'll get international selection reasonably quickly in that format, so long as you score well. Test selection seems to be the hardest to come by since it seems to take into consideration performances in other formats but I'm exclusively playing domestic four days at the moment to see if I can make the Test team based on those matches alone. T20 and ODI selection at an international level, again based on performance, is reasonably easy.

Yeah, I've started skipping all ODI formats, just playing T20 and (Domestic) Test Cricket, been doing it for about "2 years" in career mode just to see what happens, averaging about 40 a click. I'm Captain across all T20 formats (Domestic, IPL, UK and International) so I just want to see what happens and whether or not I can make the International Test team and skip ODI's entirely.

Well, you can skip it from day one, you just forfeited the match. In one of the recent patches on PC you just hit X on the controller.

I have forfeited in the past but I didn't know if it effected the career too much. In future it would be an idea to stipulate which form you play like T20 specialist or 4 day player etc when you set up your career although an option to play certain other games if you feel like it.

not sure if this question has been asked before and sorry if I haven't put it in the right place. But a month ago I updated the new teams with this seasons teams and started a new career I have found that now the game is a lot harder to play? and when playing tests and ODIs for your home nation the AI team spread the whole team around the ground is near impossible to score. Any ideas?

I have 2 questions.

1. In the casual mode, for New Zealand and England, the line-up is there only for tests. It's not there for T20 and ODI. I checked in the academy and downloaded England and New Zealand teams again, but there is only one option, which is tests. What is the solution for this if I need both ODI and T20? Should I check again in the academy?
2. Also, in the academy there are many options available. Which one to download? For ex, if I search for current generation England team, I get so many options for England team.I am not sure which to download? I checked the players in the team and they are pretty much similar. So, which one should I download? Should I download the one with more stars?
