PS3 2.42 Firmware Update

Sony has released the Version 2.42 update for PS3. Anyone downloaded it yet. I have read on net that it has caused many systems to not recognize the Blue Ray disk after update.

: When will they add emulation for PS2 games.

Should have got the 60GB version if you wanted PS2 games.

No problems with the latest update for me.

If there are any problems they should be fixed when I return from holiday. What does the update do?

Just fixes any remaining problems from the 2.4 and 2.41 updates I think.

I don't know if it was in this update or an earlier one but now I can quit the game and go back to the first screen much easier than before.

Should have got the 60GB version if you wanted PS2 games.

No problems with the latest update for me.

20 GB, 60 GB and 80 GB dont come anymore here. :

Also 40GB it hardly plays any PS1 game I have although it was suposed to.

Installed the update yesterday and PS3 is working fine.

That means all claims of malfuncion were rumours. :happy
