Do you guys ever give Watson a break? Personally I'd rather him hit two 50's in a match compared to 100 and 0. Sure Phil Hughes has potential, but the way Feelin Blue goes on like an idiot you would think that Hughes is Jesus and Watson is some scrag from the street. Watson is in better form than Hughes right now and he is making more runs. Can you get that into your tiny brain?

Yeah, but how long will Watson last? We are all sick of the injuries blake. We know he is a good player and has lots of potential. But he needs to stay on the park.

Another half century from Watson. He is batting superbly at the top of the order, averaging 50 in the Ashes opening the batting is no mean feat and he is performing really well.

I'm not bothered by him not converting - I'd rather an opener consistently make 50s as opposed to 100, 0, 100, 0. He is getting us off to a great start which is what we need.

Hes developing into a good opener. Puts away the bad balls, has all the shots and can rein himself in. Just needs to convert his start.

I think he should give up bowling and continue with his batting. He seems to have a good technique. Just needs to convert. I reckon we can play him like a Kallis- bowl him when the main 4 aren't doing anything.

Thats what we are trying to do with him at the moment. He may come in before Hauritz if the pitch isn't suiting spin but he being used as the 5th bowler. I still would like to see him bowl rather than become a fulltime batter, and I don't believe Watson will give up the bowling especially after finally discovering how to swing.
