I would love a comp like that.

So your laptop with both cores would be 3.2GHz for both cores?

Whats up with that 1.8GHz? Your other features look quite good, just would have thought you would have a 3.0GHz or something to go with the pretty impressive other stuff.

If you are upgrading I would make sure that it can run with Vista unless you want to stay with XP.

Actually yeah for a multi-threaded application like virus scanners, DVD-writing softwares, and few upcoming games, it will be equivalent to 3.66 GHz:D

Actually now may not be a good to time to upgrade or build a new computer. Even I m planning to build my only next year regardless of any situation. As we will be seeing quad-core 64-Bit CPU's and current ones's prices will drop considerably.

Quad core wow! So we will be well into the 5-6GHz by then. That with Vista would be one dreamy computer to get next year.

You probably won't see 5ghz cores, the cores will just add up to more than that, besides, clock speed isn't everything.
Here's my specs:

1x 80gb Western Digital HD

CyberDrive 52x/24x/52x CD-RW
3 1/4' floppy drive

Yea that is what I mean. I don't mean the Cores will be 5GHz. The dual cores I've seen are 2.4GHz each adding up to 4.8GHz overall. So with Quad cores we should be near the 8GHz when they near full potential.
