Since the 2023 World Cup has put a halt to International Bilaterals, and there are plenty scheduled for right after the WC, and because I have somehow found free time to do this, I have planned to simulate all the international tours scheduled to take place in December 2023 (there are none in November) on Cricket 19 . The fun part is the selection of the squads which I'll do by myself

The Fixtures-

:eng: England tour of West Indies :wi:
(3 ODIs, 5 T20Is)

:ind: India tour of South Africa :saf:
(3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, 2 Tests)

:pak: Pakistan tour of Australia :aus:
(3 Tests)

:ban: Bangladesh tour of New Zealand :nzf:
(3 ODIs, 3 T20Is)

If this idea works out and I manage to find enough time, will also extend this to January and February announced fixtures

1ST ODI

Live from: Sir Vivian Richards Stadium

Buttler is at the toss and says it's good to visit another country after a rather disappointing WC Campaign. And that it's great to give chances to some fresh players. Will Jacks will open with Bairstow today, he says.
:eng: England XI: Jonny Bairstow, Will Jacks, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler :c::wk:, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson

Hope says it's been a tough few months watching the World Cup from home instead of being part of it but they will work towards the next big tournament. Says Athanaze and Carty are good prospects in the middle-order for today and will be part of their future plan
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope :c: :wk: , Brandon King, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Nicholas Pooran, Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Gudakesh Motie

:wi: Windies will bat first

1st Innings

1698150450630.png1698150306637.png

Off Brandon King's 77 ball 61 and a late recovery fifty from Jason Holder, West Indies just scramble their way to 209, bowled out in 48 overs

Gus Atkinson stars for England with 3 wickets, Mark Wood takes 2, Curran takes 2/28 in 10 with a brilliant economy of 2.8
The England bowling have done a good job here and now they need just 210 to win !

2nd Innings

1698150594952.png1698150615512.png

Brook on an unbeaten 80* (70) takes England home in style, assisted by Joe Root with 60 and Bairstow who gives them a fiery start with his 45

Holder and Joseph bowl economically but they give it away in 39.2 overs to a solid England Batting

:eng:England won by 7 wickets (64 balls remaining)

England lead the series 1-0

2ND ODI

Live from: Sir Vivian Richards Stadium

At the toss: Buttler says it's a good start to the series last game with the win and both the batting and bowling was very mature. Brook and Atkinson did really well. And that they will stick with the same side for the second game as well.
:eng: England XI: Jonny Bairstow, Will Jacks, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler :c::wk: , Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson

Hope says the last defeat was tough on the team but they have the confidence to bounce back. Says they have 1 change - Shepherd goes out and Oshane Thomas comes in after a long period of not playing for WI. Says it is good to have the pace of Oshane in the side.
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope :c::wk: , Brandon King, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Nicholas Pooran, Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Oshane Thomas
(Changes: Oshane Thomas , Romario Shepherd  )

:eng: England to Bat First

1st Innings

1698164526533.png1698164564177.png

England post a competitive 274/6 on the board with Jos Buttler hitting a run-a-ball 65 and importantly Moeen Ali stepping up with 83* (80) at the back end to really propel them to this score, after a poor start where only Root in the Top 4 really got going

Alzarri gets 2 wickets from the WI pacers but the rest are not quite impressive. But they do a decent job compared to last game in pulling things back. Now they need 275 to win at 5.75 RPO...

2nd Innings

1698164797477.png1698164769610.png

An incredible effort from Alick Athanaze deserves a century and a win, but they get neither as they fall short by incredibly close margins

Athanaze gets barely any support from the others and that results in Windies collapsing to 263 in 47.5 overs

Gus Atkinson stars for England again with the 3 crucial top-order wickets for just 35 runs in his 10 overs. Him and the other bowlers have done extremely well in pressure to steal back the win from the jaws of defeat

:eng: England won by 9 runs

England lead the series 2-0

1698165147803.png

Moeen Ali wins the MOTM this game for his game changing 80* down the order to get England just enough runs. And 1/58 with the ball to back it up.

3RD ODI

Live from: Kensington Oval

Buttler says they're very happy with how they've done and won the series, so they will rotate their players around today. Will Jacks and Wood have been rested for Phil Salt and David Willey. And hopefully they sweep the series to build their confidence after the WC disappointment.
:eng: England XI: Jonny Bairstow, Phil Salt  , Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler :c: :wk: , Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, David Willey  , Adil Rashid, Gus Atkinson
(Changes: Phil Salt, D Willey  , Will Jacks, Mark Wood  )

Hope says the second game was quite close and they're very happy with how the team came back, and how Athanaze performed especially and are confident to get back and win this final match. Motie has been rested for Yannic Cariah is the team changes.
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope :c: :wk: , Brandon King, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Nicholas Pooran, Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Yannic Cariah  Alzarri Joseph, Oshane Thomas
(Changes: Yannic Cariah  , Gudakesh Motie  )

:eng: England will bat first today

1st Innings

1698229143570.png1698229169080.png

Harry Brook tees off again to get a brilliant century of 124* off just 113 balls , helping England get to exactly 300 in their 50. Not to forget Moeen's handy 57* in the back end too that helps them push for the 300-mark

The Windies bowlers could have done better as Hosein and Mayers take 2 wickets each but the team as a whole is expensive as they need 301 runs to win and avoid the whitewash now, at a run a ball ...

2nd Innings

1698229374969.png1698229387974.png

Nicholas Pooran stays not out on a fighting 75, but the English Bowlers do wonderfully to bowl the Windies out for 181 and stop the chase by all means

Moeen stars with the ball with 4/37 (10) while Curran, Willey and Rashid all pick up a couple of wickets. And the Poms have completed a successful sweep over this disappointing Windies Side that fails to win a game at home.

:eng: England won by 119 runs

England win the series 3-0

1698229696699.png

Harry Brook wins MOTM again for his brilliant 124* that set up the England Innings perfectly, edging Moeen out by a whisker for the choice.

He also wins the MOTS award for his 219 runs in 3 games at an average of 219.00. The future of England is bright

1ST T20I

Live from: Kensington Oval

Buttler says it's good to come into this series off an ODI whitewash and hopes they will continue that form here. Says the side remains the same as the ODI team with Jacks and Duckett coming in for Salt and Root.
:eng: England XI: Jos Buttler :c::wk: , Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson

Powell says the ODI whitewash is something to forget as they move onto their strong suit that is the T20s. Says he's looking forward to seeing Hope open the batting after his good CPL, and to see Hetmyer back in the middle order to strengthen the batting. He is confident they will do better than what they have shown so far.
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran :wk: , Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell :c: , Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy, Oshane Thomas

:eng: England to bat first

1st Innings
1698325433649.png1698325463380.png

England finish on a respectable 164/5 in their 20. They never got going initially but Livingstone and Moeen's late hitting has rescued them from the dump to get them to a decent score. Liam with 77* and Moeen with a quick 30*

The Windies bowlers started well but got hit at the death. Akeal got 2 wickets for just 29 but Holder, Powell and Mayers got carted. 165 to win for the Windies at home at 8.25 RPO. Could be tricky, could be not.

2nd Innings
1698325620354.png1698325636470.png

Hope provides a good start with his 42- Followed by Hetmyer's quickfire 30 keeping the Indies in the game. But quick wickets after that mean they lose their plot only to fall short by miniscule margins in the end- stranded just 1 run behind the total with a wicket in hand.

Mark Wood ends up with 4 crucial wickets of the main batting unit while Moeen cleans up to get 3. England bowl brilliantly in the final over to pull the game back and win a thriller of a victory.

England lead series 1-0

2ND T20I

Live from: National Stadium, Grenada

Buttler says it's good to continue the winning streak onto the T20s and build for next year's T20 World Cup. So the England side will be unchanged for today.
:eng: England XI: Jos Buttler :c::wk: , Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson

Powell says one loss shouldn't hurt as it was extremely close and that they are confident that the same team can pull off a win, and thus the Windies go unchanged as well.
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran :wk: , Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell :c: , Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy, Oshane Thomas

:eng: England to bat first

1st Innings
1698399903294.png1698399919924.png

England struggle on a slow Grenada wicket to get runs on board, as Buttler bats 54 balls for his 62 and stitches a 115-run partnership with Bairstow that is solely the reason for them getting to a respectable 163.

The Windies Bowlers were decently economical but failed to get the wickets. McCoy and Mayers picked 1 each for 19 and 34 runs respectively- Windies need 164 to win now and they came ever so close to chasing such a score down just the last game. RRR - 8.20

2nd Innings
1698400116183.png1698400129558.png

Windies lose their Top 3 cheaply in the chase, but Pooran's near-fifty off just 34 balls really helps them get back on. Holder and Hosein then finish things off with a brilliant quickfire partnership of 41, both scoring at a near 200 Strike rate

Mark Wood is the star for England again with the ball but the lack of support prevents England from going two up. The death bowling also failed for them against Holder and Akeal- WI get their first win of the tour after five games !

:wi: West Indies won by 4 wickets (6 balls remaining)

Series Tied 1-1

1698400451535.png

Jason Holder wins the MOTM award for his match-winning 37* (18) and 0/22 (3) with the ball, providing WI the death-over charge to get to victory

3RD T20I

Live from: National Stadium, Grenada

Buttler says it was a tough loss last game but the team played really well and the spirit is good. And that Josh Tongue will be making his T20I Debut today in place of Gus Atkinson. He believes he can threaten batsmen with his pace like he showed in test cricket and he will be a solid addition to the team ahead of the 2024 T20 WC.
:eng: England XI: Jos Buttler :c: :wk:, Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Josh Tongue

Powell says it's great to grab the first win of the tour after a heartbreak defeat in the 1st T20I. Says this format is what the country is known for and has two T20 WC trophies as well, so they are confident of taking this winning streak forward. No team changes , stick to a winning combo
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran :wk: : , Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell :c: , Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy, Oshane Thomas

:wi: West Indies to Bat First

1st Innings
1698479291620.png1698479309938.png

Shai Hope's steady innings of 74 (59) followed by quick hitting from Pooran, Hetmyer and Powell in the middle ensure the Windies get to a solid score of 172 that they have to defend today.

English Bowling fails to be effective as the main pacers don't get the wickets and all 4 go to the spinners. Jacks is expensive, Moeen is the best bowler with 2/29 in 4 overs. They need to chase 173 now at 8.65 RPO

2nd Innings
1698479452966.png1698479469811.png

England batting absolutely smashes Windies in response - Buttler not out on 96* while Will Jacks himself makes 75 runs in a 175-run opening stand that wins them the game with over 2.3 overs and all ten wickets to spare. Jacks finally showing potential in the international game with his knock

Windies bowling takes a beating as no one is able to take wickets or break the partnership. Joseph and Thomas are the only exceptions while everyone else has been hammered in their spells. A lot of work to do for the next game when bowling is concerned.

:eng: England won by 10 wickets (16 balls remaining)

England lead the series 2-1

4TH T20I

Live from: Brian Lara Cricket Academy

3 Games in and England are leading by 2-1. The pitch looks flat here in Brian Lara Academy. Can the Windies pull it back, or are England getting the series win in the T20Is as well today ??

Buttler says the batting clicked exactly how they wanted to last game so they will back this batting order throughout. But one change in the bowling, as Mark Wood is rested for workload mgmt, replaced by Luke Wood. Says they hope to win the T20I series too with a victory today
:eng: England XI: Jos Buttler :c::wk: , Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid, Luke Wood , Josh Tongue
(Changes: Luke Wood  , Mark Wood  )
Powell says they definitely need to improve on their bowling from last game and not give away such chases. Two changes in team - Jayden Seales replaces Oshane Thomas in the bowling. Lewis comes in for Brandon King. He hopes they improve from last game and perform well with both bat and ball.
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope, Evin Lewis, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran :wk: , Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell :c: , Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales, Obed McCoy

:eng: England to Bat First

1st Innings

1698571737740.png1698571754555.png

Will Jacks keeps delivering.. with a 97* today along with Ben Duckett who also shines with 66* to carry England to 199 ! Two partnerships of 94 and 105 while the Windies bowling looks clueless yet again.

Only Seales manages to take a wicket but also at an economy of 5.67 being the only economical bowler for his team today. 200 to win for WI at 10 an over and the chase is on-

2nd Innings

1698572191295.png1698572207339.png

Shai Hope and Pooran's keeper-twin 89s ensure Windies get the chase done with a ball to spare ! Hope steadies with a 65-ball 89 while Pooran smashes his way to the score in 48 balls to chase it down in a brilliant 180 run partnership, with just one ball remaining in the chase.

The pitch today has proved to be too much for the batters - English bowling looked all sorts and only Rashid bowled a decent spell with a wicket. Livingstone got hammered, and so did the rest of the bowling to hand WI their second win in the series- which is still truly alive at 2-2.

:wi: West Indies won by 8 wickets (1 ball remaining)

Series Tied 2-2

1698572824704.png

Nicholas Pooran walks out with the MOTM for his match-winning 89* (48) to chase down 200.

Delayed cause of school keeping me busy, but here we go for the final one

5TH T20I

Live from: Brian Lara Cricket Academy

Into the final one and we're tied up at 2-2. England took the ODI series 3-0; can they walk away with the T20I trophy too? or do the Windies hit back hard to please the home crowd? Here we are at the decider-

It's been a good series, says Buttler, lauds the Windies team for being good competitors throughout. Says they will give their best so they can take the T20I trophy home too, hopefully. Tom Kohler-Cadmore will be making his T20I debut today, in place of Jonny who has been rested. Mark Wood and Atkinson too come back in for Curran and Luke Wood, while Livingstone is rested for Rehan Ahmed.
:eng: England XI: Jos Buttler :c::wk: , Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Harry Brook, Moeen Ali, Rehan Ahmed, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue
(Changes: Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Rehan Ahmed, Mark Wood & Gus Atkinson  , Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran & Luke Wood  )
Powell says they're on the right track and have certainly learnt from the ODI series to bounce back and take this to the last game. He says they should hopefully continue the momentum and backs them in front of the home crowd. Only one change, Joseph goes out for Motie- an extra spin option.
:wi: West Indies XI: Shai Hope, Evin Lewis, Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran :wk: , Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell :c: , Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Gudakesh Motie, Jayden Seales, Obed McCoy
(Changes: Gudakesh Motie  , Alzarri Joseph  )

:wi: West Indies to Bat First

1st Innings
1698831651870.png1698831669224.png

A single partnership effort today between Pooran and Hetmyer, them making 143 runs out of the total after the Windies Top 3 are all dismissed in quick succession for single digits. A decent pull-back from WI to get to 165 from there

England's bowlers haven't been specifically impressive- Jacks bowls a good spell while Moeen, Wood and Tongue all pick a wicket each. But they did well in the powerplay to rattle the top order and restrict WI to a par score.

2nd Innings
1698831844595.png1698831856928.png

A great effort from the English Opening Pair helps them chase this down with no struggle. Buttler and Jacks both score ffities, and Duckett contributes with a valuable 18 ball 35 to accelerate things and get it done quickly. Sad for the debutant duck though

McCoy literally the sole wicket taker for WI with all 3 of their scalps, but going at 11.4 an over. Only Hosein was economical of the five, and it wasn't enough to defend a score like that against this England Lineup.

:eng: England won by 7 wickets (16 balls remaining)

England win the series 3-2
