Indians really missing the services of Irfan pathan,RP Singh and Zaheer Khan

Isn't the first bolded one moaned recently in media that he didn't get new ball to swing around & hence his downfall? :sarcasm I have lost track of Irfan Pathan recently though. When he was last seen in Indian squad, the most crappiest bowler I would say.

But I don't know how he improved now though. If he is still struggling for movement & pace, we can survive with Kohli's pace than wasting a spot for Irfan.

And, the second bolded one - Yes, truly India miss his service. :sarcasm correct! So Indian pace bowling line up is going to revolve around the useless list. :clap

Yes, It would have been interesting & good run fest for our bowlers. :banana2 When they are so happy enough to arrange back to back Ind-Sl series, why not this? It's enough of subcontinent pitches. Pacers should have got tired in getting smacked. Bring it on - Abroad series! New environment to enjoy them (dear Indian pacers) getting smashed all over the park!

Indian pacers will prove you wrong abroad because they will get more juice from the wicket and they will do well on them. I am waiting for the SA tour coming up. Even if we might lose, we will do well because our bowling will like the conditions and the wickets.

Only Zaheer will, the guy is under so much pressure and takes up so much workload that he cant last a year these days.
From what I followed of Indian domestic cricket on cricinfo Pathan had a solid year with both bat an ball. He should come back and it should be him and Sree competing for the other pace bowling spot.

1) Villiers got 241 runs in 3 matches
2) Kallis got 204 runs in 3 matches
3) Sachin got 204 runs in 2 matches.
MOS is supposed to be the player who did the best over the whole series. The most consistent.

That was Devilliers, easily the best performed. Sachin had one good day.

Good day? It was an epic day, the greatest 'day' in all of ODI cricket's history perhaps?

He deserves it IMO. What is with all the haters.

Highest scores/wickets in series is first criteria. In 3 match series, Villiers, despite 2 centuries - he is just on 241 runs. Had he got around 350 runs, definitely he would have been the first choice.200+ runs in 2 matches always gain preference over 200+ runs in 3 matches.

You are wrong. He didn't have one good day. He had one dominating/phenominal/exceptional day which none could ever think of. With such an outstanding day in 3 match series, it's sufficient enough easily. Had the series being long enough like 5 or 7match series, it would have been a different story.

haha, the same words again & again. I don't know when this will happen only. May be in our third generation? :D I would be obviously happy to get proved wrong.

Sachin didnt play Game 3. So he has a better average, and that innings of his was so epic, you cant really blame the decision much.

Its not mere luck that our best bowling performances have come overseas. Ishant looked very good in Australia, Sreesanth looked very good in South Africa, Zaheer has always been a threat overseas in recent times. When we go overseas, Zaheer gets decent support from the other end which helps him a lot and so our bowling performances have looked more healthier.

You just dont want to accept it because of 'I dont know why' your blinded hatred for Indian fast bowling. We are not great, but we are not as bad as you make it out to be.

Yes, correct usage of superlative. :) I missed this innings, but I didn't move a muscle when I saw the highlights. Outstanding, little Master! Any cricket fan would obviously take this matured innings as the greatest one even if he/she hates Sachin!

I am with surrender here, if it was a 5 match series then maybe a different story.

The first game was a toss up.

Second game won by Tendulkar pretty much by himself.

Third game won by joint effort from Kallis and ABDV and the seamers.

Factor in the 200* and its a fair enough call.

Not to mention that Tendulkar's knock won the series while ABDV/Kallis performances weren't enough to win the match in game 1 and in 2 were in a meaningless encounter.

Because, I am longing to see one threatening bowler(to support Zaheer atleast) like Pollock or McGrath or Wasim or Younis in our Indian bowling line up that will make us the champion line up & shut all the unnecessary experts' mouth. My wait now is 15 years.

The pitches better not be like this for the WC.
The ICC should say they have to start putting something in it for the bowlers, overwise just take it away from them.

What's the point on bowlers even playing?
You might as well just play five part-timers, as they will get smashed at like 8's, which is just the same as specialist bowlers.

Your rant is getting a bit too irritating IMO. Why don`t you realize that the pitches have been pathetic for the bowlers. Did`nt Steyn and Co not get smashed for 400 odd as well. What makes you feel so sure that the seamers will not do well overseas when offered help.

When the SA bowlers fail, its a flat track. When the same happens with the Indian bowlers on the same type of pitch, they are the crappiest bowlers in the world who do not deserve to exist on the planet.
