To get right into the spirit of things, I have gladly signed up. Interesting that I was the first registration.
I chose a mix of both Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi players this time around because Cricket is a funny game. You can't predict what's going to happen.

Its not about mixing it up, its more about picking the right players. Bangladesh players are very risky so best you get all rounders from them. SL stack up with batters and bowlers imo.

Also this series won't be giving any real prizes just the usual vCash

Yeah, maybe I should'nt have mixed it up too much. But saying that, I hope a few "Bangers" notch up some good performances. And may I ask, how much vCash do we win?

Didn't know the Test match was that soon.

Normally Bangladesh is sometimes competitive in ODI's, but certainly not in the Test matches. But the ODI series gave a good idea which players too choose from Bangladesh.

I have registered. It is strange that only 20 people have registered.

I was going to have Murali as captain, but I choose Sangakkara. There isn't any reason for it but I just had an inward feeling.

Yea. I have sanga as the captain as well. He's consistent with the bat, may be Jayawardane and Dilshan are also worthy of being the bonus players. No Vaas? and Atapattu?

Sangakarra is my captain aswell. He perform's well with bat and glove so that would probably be why.

Murali as captain for me, Sangakkara as a bonus. I get the feeling that this will be a close one, decided by the less important players, as the key ones pick themselves in my eyes.

I wanted to post my team and saw some mistakes.

Dilhara Fernando wasn't listed. Now he is.

Another errors:

Alok Kapali is also an allrounder and was listed only as a bowler.

Farveez Maharoof priorities are certainly in the bowling department, although he is supposed to be also an allrounder. But I didn't change anything since he has been listed as a batsman and people may chosen him.

Khaled Mashud and Kumar Sangakkara should be listed as only a wicketkeeper. And not also as a batsman. But I didn't change anything, cause people may have chosen them as batsman.

Mohammad Ashraful is an batting allrounder, and should apart from being listed as allrounder, also needed to be listed as batsman.

Mohammad Rafique is apart from a bowler, an allrounder, since has some centuries as batsman.

Mushfiqur Rahim is apart from a batsman, also a wicketkeeper. So I listed him also as wicketkeeper now.

Prasanna Jayawardene has been added now and is a wicketkeeper.

Sajeewa Weerakoon has been added as a bowler.


To sum it up: I added some extra features, and didn't exclude players from any position (like being a bowler or batsman). Since people could have chosen them already.

Normally Bangladesh doesn't do that well in Test matches, so my team consists of a lot of Sri Lankans.

So in a way you would have been late again. :laugh I couldn't see the closing option at that time, so I just cut the deadline to a minimum. A lot of people have about more then two or three Bangladesh players. A bit strange, since Bangladesh isn't that great in Test matches.

And all my players in my team are playing. So that's a bit good news for me.

Only one wicket was down when I got in so no big advantage. Also I wouldn't have been late if the deadline was set properly. When I left it was 11 hours so I expected to be able to come back and have ages to register. I came back and see its 1 hour to go and think what the hell, I go to cricinfo for predicted lineups and what do you know the game is on live.
