AMA Sure, what the hell.. Ask me (VC the slogger)

I thought I and NMA would be on the list...

I don't know you guys as well as I'd like to apart from what we do in the leagues section, at least not the way I know some of the people I mentioned above over there.

If you saw how much @VC the slogger slags you off in the Staff forums you wouldn't be thinking that....:p
AH! That hurts...

I assume this is just banter, but if not please find me at least one post after 2016 where I've posted something that can be considered as a 'slag' in the staff forum. @AliB If I did slag you, it would have been on and around 2015 when we were in charge of the PCPL and you were quite frankly a pain in the ass at times. I reckon you've come a long way since.

Suppose you are GRRM, How would you kill this people?
-Sandor Clegane
-Arya Stark
-Samwell Tarly
-Daenarys Targaryan
-Bronn
-Briene
-Pod
-Davos Seaworth
-Grey Worm

Don't particularly care all that much about the rest, but if GRRM does anything to Daenarys I have only one prediction for him and his entire deluded franchise.

Somebody I'd like to see killed off though is Theon Greyjoy. Given the stage he's come to it would be a mercy killing in my opinion.

Which JB song is the best? Your Top 3?

There can only be one at the very top.

Next in line are these two.

Interested in politics?

Not really.

Your opinion of Pakistan?

Don't have one yet as I've never visited there myself. Some of the pictures you posted looked great though.

What are your plans for the future?

I have quite a few. Going through my bucket list might give you a fair idea.

Your dream league to run that you haven't run yet?

Can't think of anything in particular. But if there's something I'd like to take all the way, it's my Olympics league.

The best league manager ever

I've never seen anybody run big leagues as quickly and seemingly effortlessly as @Iridium, whilst not compromising on quality one bit. If you're looking for consistency at running a particular league then it's @CaptainCremer without a doubt. Between 2012-2015, @Aislabie was also among the very best around.

and the best among currently active ones, in your opinion?

Me? :p Nah, what kind of dick votes for himself. @CaptainCremer's still around, then there's also @Na Maloom Afraad.

The best team manager?

@Fenil. Pretty much always ended up with the best squad in every league he ever took part in and won a majority of them.

The best league ever in this section?

Difficult to pick one out of so many, but I would have to go with @Iridium's Ultimate Team. In terms of quality and activity, no league comes close to matching it.

Imran Khan or Kapil Dev?

That's ridiculously easy to answer. Imran Khan.

A league you missed on?

Missed out on several leagues that ran during the golden era (2010-2011) when I foolishly wasted my time in the Cricket 07 forums. Also missed out on quite a few when I first joined the leagues section because some of the managers back then just couldn't care less about giving opportunities to newbies.

  1. Should you be given the opportunity to closely work with a Text based Cricket simulator Creator, what would you like to see in a new simulator?
  2. If you had the opportunity to go and study after school, what would you have studied?
  3. Steven Smith, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, AB de Villiers or Quinton De Kock?

Should you be given the opportunity to closely work with a Text based Cricket simulator Creator, what would you like to see in a new simulator?

  • 20-60 over matches for limited overs matches/2-9 day matches for multi-day cricket.
  • The option of selecting bowlers in a particular order.
  • The option of setting a player's approach as attacking, moderate or defensive so I don't have to tweaking try out all kinds of ratings like cricsim just to get them to play they way they do in real life. It's quite easy for me now, but not so for most other people who don't know the sim as well as I do. I could try but some of my methods are a bit difficult to explain or understand properly.
  • The option of sending pinch hitters/nightwatchmen up the order sometimes depending on the match situation.
  • D/L method targets for rain-hit matches.
  • It should be free of charge like cricsim.

If you had the opportunity to go and study after school, what would you have studied?

My late father was of the opinion that I should go for a Hotel Management course after finishing high school if I still wanted to study further. That's what I would've probably gone for.

Steven Smith, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, AB de Villiers or Quinton De Kock?

Well..

Smith > Kohli, Root, Williamson, AB, QKD in tests
Kohli > Smith, Root, Williamson, AB, QDK in ODIs & T20s
Williamson > everyone as an all-formats specialist

Kohli takes the lead in two out of the three international formats, so that's who I'll go with.
