Draft: The RNG Draft: Oops, All ODIs!

Round 7
Ddrap's Pool

1675717840269.png
Simple: Ian Bell.
1675717868651.png

Ed Smith's Pool
1675717918588.png
Ed told me to take "Gilchrist". Fortunately he clarified Adam in an edit, because we all know what would have happened otherwise...
1675717959458.png

CerealKiller's Pool
1675717989180.png
A few solid bowlers here, but Mushtaq Mohammad was the pick.
1675718021317.png

Aislabie's Pool
1675718031722.png
Possibly the worst pool ever. Aislabie had to do a deep dive into everyone here's domestic career, which did at least produce a clear selection in Shakeel Ahmed Sr.

Till Valhalla's Pool
1675718089791.png
Continuing this round's trend of all-rounders is Sikandar Raza.
1675718113504.png

Ahmed's Pool
1675718136211.png
There's an obvious pick here: Pakistan's favourite man.
1675718166537.png

Parth's Pool
1675718179137.png
Speaking of easy picks...
1675718195298.png

LiveInASociety's Pool
1675718220111.png
I goof - pick being updated soon
Edit: Peter Burge is the updated pick, given he's available.

Aravind's Pool
1675718269133.png
Aravind queried whether he could pick Harshal Patel despite him not playing an ODI yet. Mainly because the answer is yes.
1675718328934.png

Naman's Pool

1675718348165.png
There were quite a lot of viable options here. Naman went with the English finger spinner Phil Edmonds, though.

@ddrap14 wrong pic uploaded that's not Doeschate

Pool 8
Parth's Pool

AWOL

Ddrap's Pool
1676064303012.png
My choice is between a bad player who kinda fits a team need (Rafique) and a good one who does fit one. So I'm taking Mohammad Rizwan.
1676064342310.png

Aislabie's Pool
1676064373397.png
With Chanderpaul gone, Aislabie opted to take Upul Chandana and "play in Chattogram or something".
1676064425519.png

Ahmed's Pool
1676064499587.png
Ahmed elected to select Australia enthusiast Naveen-ul-Haq to bolster his pace contingent. Guess he doesn't want Chattogram then

Till Valhalla's Pool
1676064584464.png
Better cricketers were available, but no funnier one was
1676064628875.png

LiveInASociety's Pool
1676064700006.png
Incredibly obvious: Dennis Lillee
1676064734489.png

Aravind's Pool
1676064750016.png
With a need of batsmen, Brijesh Patel joins Aravind's team.
1676064787515.png

CerealKiller's Pool
1676064811682.png
This is the first pool I've ever produced that's resulted in swearing, so I'll take a little pride from that. CK, on the other hand, will take Aminul Islam.
1676064860088.png

Ed Smith's Pool
1676064877114.png
I don't know whether an Associate all-rounder is the most Ed or least Ed thing possible, but he adds Mahuru Dai.
1676064911689.png

Naman's Pool
1676064930458.png
Let's be honest, this was again obvious - Arjuna Ranatunga.
1676064961497.png

Pool 9
Ddrap's Pool

1676465276695.png
I'll be adding John R. Reid to my bits and pieces AR collection. Also means I can bat Oram at 8, which is probably for the best
1676465371728.png

Ahmed's Pool
1676465459710.png
Ahmed also took an all-rounder, but this one isn't bits and pieces. Dwayne Bravo is a big hitter and a good death bowler.
1676465494254.png

CerealKiller's Pool
1676465603492.png
Ian Butler is probably BPA for an ODI, but he's also running CK the huge risk of opening with Stiaan Van Zyl...
1676465648662.png

LiveInASociety's Pool
1676465672969.png
I assume and hope Mark Craig won't be LIAS's fifth bowler, but if not he's a solid all-round piece.
1676465715265.png

Ed Smith's Pool
1676465741006.png
The ten overs that might have to come from Mahuru Dai for Ed will be made up by ten from Courtney Walsh.
1676465814569.png

Aislabie's Pool
1676465826260.png
@Aislabie if it's any consolation, you're guaranteed better than CK unless he gets Bradman...
1676465873282.png

Till Valhalla's Pool
1676465899851.png
And also TV, who is forced to add Canadian Abraash Khan to an already long lower order.
1676465944901.png

Aravind's Pool
1676465961196.png
If only in contrast to TV, this is a brilliant pool. Saurabh Netravalkar was the pick.
1676466006297.png

Parth's Pool
1676466022028.png
No idea what Parth meant by "Skip" at first. He then picked Jack Wildermuth, to be fair, the best player available by domestic record.
1676466061821.png

Naman/Neo's Pool
1676466076325.png
And finally because someone has to get an unironically good pool every round, Naman ends up with Michael Hussey.
1676466132931.png

IMPORTANT!!!PLEASE READ
The next round will be tomorrow after Random.org returns from scheduled maintenance.
@liveinasociety and @Till Valhalla both must pick a wicketkeeper in one of the next two rounds or otherwise nominate one.

Just set Statsguru to choose only wicketkeepers in their final round

May be in next RNG Draft you can keep a set criteria for every round. It will level the squad balance for everyone unlike the current scenario of someone having a tail that starts at 5. Though Randomness will still continue as someone might end up with Bradman in a round while someone else gets Akash Chopra. Someone can get Shane Warne while another can end up with Ramesh Powar

I'm definitely thinking of running a second NextLevel RNG draft for my next RNG one, but there is one other thing I'd like to do in between
