Sri Lanka reached 218/8. Australia should reach this target.

Gosh how do you guys watch the cricket and post :D It is an average total at best 218. The pitch does seem alot slower than usual and the hawkeye of McGrath's bouncer backed it up. The key for Sri Lanka is Murali, if he can pick up 2 or 3 wickets and conced under 4 an over than Sri Lanka have a good chance. Also Vass or the other 2 pacemans have got to remove Gilchrist early. Don't think they will mind Katich to much :D The Aussies do have a rather long batting lineup though so it is vital that they pick up wickets at regular intervals. Sri Lanka really missed Sanath today. The 2 openers were like snails until Bracken came to bowl, then Mubarak started playing his shots. Jayasuriya could of easilyy increased the run rate ealy on and possibly could of added at least 20-30 to the total. Also they will miss his orthodox spinners which are quite handy. I will back the Aussies atm!!

ZexyZahid are you watching the game on tv or just getting the scores from cricinfo?? If you are on cricinfo than you probably don't know it is a rather slow and turning pitch. Hogg bowled beautifully today with his chinamen's.

Symonds bowled well but of course the situation helped him get wickets. Hogg was amazing, hes definitely not finished. He got bounce and turn, and he was causing trouble to SL who are good players of spin. Bracken bowled smartly by changing to cutters, having a great series is this Bracken.

Lee again loses control at the death although Gilly could have got him a wicket.

Did anyone else fall asleep during the 1st 10 overs?? Geez that was the most tedious 10 overs I have ever seen. The whole innings in fact was the most tedious innings I have ever seen.

What? Sorry can't read properly, I just woke up!!!

No biggie to me, Aus keep the pressure on SL which is fine for me. If Aus on the other hand bat like that then you will see me falling asleep.

Man katich is useless. Hes a total waste of batting when the field is up. He almost caused a run out, as he usually does, on that wide when he decided he didn;t want to run when it would have been easy. He wasted 5 seconds and decided he had to and got back reasonably safely.

Well they start solidly with Gilchrist playing a positive game. Vaas showing his experience with tight bowling, though they will realise he's one of their best chances of Sri Lanka pulling off a victory so will definitely be content to see his variations off. Great bowling by Hogg, really keeping the pressure on and forcing the errors. I don't really agree with Lee's persistance of bowling around the wicket, maybe every now and then to catch the batsman unawares and to try something different but he was almost using it as his stock option.

Good play by Gilly way better than what Hodge and Katich is doing. These guys should not be in our top order. Especially Hodge, that is why Ponting was so great as our number 3. If Gilly gets out we don't slow down even with Katich at the other end. But with Hodge at 3 we are going at a snails rate.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Australia still lost the game from here. Hang on, There is still Martyn, Clarke, Hussey, etc. If Hodge and Katich finally ge tout Australia will have a better chance.

Katich still pretty slow but redeeming himself with a few recent boundaries. I still feel he cannot be relied upon to anchor this middle order.

Hodge gone, useless bugger! More egg on the selectors face.
You can rule out the bonus point victory right now, lets make sure we win this. Good thing Martyn is a back foot player as this pitch isn't for front footers.

The supersub is on from what I hear in the ground. But if hes not SL will definitely bring on their leggie. Aus still favourites cause Hussey is at 7. Now if only we got Cosgrove into our side somehow as this is his home ground and he would know how to play on this pitch.

Well about time Katich was out. He was so slow and it was a snorathon with him in a partnershi with Hodge and Martyn. 52 off 89 by Katich, 5 off 16 from Hodge and worst of all Martyn 17 off 36.
