what happened to brad williams he performed well against india in 2003. i would say his better bowler than bracken

bracken just reminds me of a australian version of pathan, same with new zealands franklin

Except Franklin is a much worse ODI bowler but I would say a better Test bowler. Pathan is a great all rounder and a strike bowler. I rate him much higher than Bracken.

what i meant to say is that pathans and brackens bowling are both similar, pathan is much better batsman

They aren't similar if both are at their peak. Bracken is at least 10km/h slower than Pathan at his best. Also Pathan gets reverse swing.

Good batting by Atapattu, his second 50 in succession after returning back to the top order. Why on earth he batted down the order with the openers SL were producing is beyond me.
SL looking good right now 100 up in 21 overs. They should make 270 and put pressure on Aus to win the game.

Well it is definitely possible for them to chase down 250, ofcourse it is, but they will have the element of pressure where if the SL bowlers get on top of them it will be hard to claw back into the game with the quality spin attack toling from both ends. This will test Katich and the middle order, and they will need to try and slow Gilchrist down, possibly using the tactics employed by the English and others that were so succesful. Arnold is now out, providing another blow to the progression of the run rate.

Sri Lanka is my tip from this point, especially if Gilchrist goes early.
Katich will no doubt start the innings off painstakingly slow...putting immense pressure on the middle-lower order.

whats with all these pitches...are the curators Lankans?
i hope they stay this way for next summer, because it will favour the Australians over the Poms.

australia r in a bit trouble, s. lanka got some good spinners who can bowl well on this pitch, australia really have to play sensibly to win this one.

Wow SL needed someone like that new guy down the order. Bracken went for a few today :p

Good captaincy Atapattu!

ARGH! Katich is useless. He didn't run. It was Pontings call, and he would of made it home easy, he was going to the danger end. Katich is probably up there with Atapattu as one of the worst runners in world cricket. Sigh!!!

Katich must of heard the call for yes, I heard it, it was very loud. Katich just stood there and watched the ball. He didn't call NO or anything.

Lol Ponting was probably going to have another cry, reminiscent to the ashes. Now another reason to drop Katich and bring Jaques in.

Good dam what was Martyn thinking. Aus are in real trouble here. I hope Ponting told Symonds to stay there to the end ;)
Anyway one positive from Ponting being run out is we get to finally see if Katich can lead us to victory chasing a good total.

Welcome to the crease Perera, 6 by Symonds. This is going to be very interesting, SL with all their slow bowlers are well on top. Hopefully Symonds can stay there with Mr Anchor.

Some lucky escapes by the Aussies. I'd like Sri Lanka to win so we can have our first three game series for over ten years! It's going to be great tonight.

Dammit Australia!!!!

sigh...Ponting better pray he wins the toss in Sydney, or face having his mediocre attack torn apart by Jayasuriya who absolutely loves the SCG.

Oh well this game isnt over yet but its not looking good, particularly if Roy goes cheaply.
