Yeah, that is pretty much true, i think this point should be included in ICC Wishlist for 2010 that players should more judged on basis of their performance in last 1-2 years, rather than FC avg

Plus, their rating should be based on whether they are international or domestic, because if someone is doing well domestic circuit, he is rated very high
For eg, S Munir of Pakistan rated 479 with bowl and many more.........

I completely agree with you.

It is probably too hard to rate every player individually, but it would be good if the best people via the ratings were actually the best people in the world.
E.g. the top rated batsmen being Ponting or Tendulkar rather than Hughes.

Maybe they could just look at the top 25 rated batsmen and bowlers and make sure they look alright.

yeah, ICC Official ratings should be used......

Ponting was still the case where he was already rated over 1700, but if you see indian players, all the players that are currently playing for the national are underrated (batsmen).

And the players performing good at the domestic circuit are rated way above them...

The most surprising ratings for me in case of india were dhoni batting rating at 1107

Starting Seriously With My Patch

I have now got sufficient time to play seriously with my own patch

So to start with first up World 20-20......

In the 2nd game against Ireland, Sehwag played his typical style knock

Sehwag - 113*(68) balls

Next up again, an excellent game of cricket between 2 arch rivals

India Vs Pakistan in super 8 stage.

Luckily won by just 1 run...

In the last over Pakistan needed just 4 run and had 2 wickets in hand, but fortunately won the game

Next up, India reached the world cup final and again it is against their arch rivals Pakistan

So, India Vs Pakistan in the final, repeat of 2007 World Cup 20-20.......

Again had a great match, over 400 runs scored in 40 overs, the best final that i have been part of............................

if there are atleast 5-6 people who want to use that patch for either ENG or SA, i would surely do it....

But just 1 thing, i wont be able to do mega patch, i would just edit the team you want and not other teams, in that same patch

Ok, now on to the 4-Match ODI Series against West Indies......

First ODI, very exciting one

Was given the target of 302 to chase....

Is mega patch, so it is difficult to get Gayle and Chanderpaul out early....

Both of them helped WI to get to 301

Harbhajan the only bowler who bowled well from the stream of frontline bowler and among part-timers Yuvraj bowled well

In the batting department, Sehwag seems to be in good form currently..
Dhoni not clicking as yet....

To win the game, S raina's hand was very important, as he played a fine cameo to see india through......

West Indies Posted a Big Total Of 313/8

This time round, Bowling of Z Khan and A Nehra bowled well

Missed the target by just 6 runs.

Start was'nt good this time, both Sachin and Sehwag failed

Great Innings from Gambhir, but was'nt enough to get to the target

Patnership with Y Singh of 160 gave me a chance, but not quite

Again S Raina played a very good cameo






Disappointing, that M Dhoni and S Tendulkar not in the form yet

I would say, Dhoni and Tendulkar should have performed well up the order....

In the end, Jadeja and Raina were the last 2 batsmen left in the side, where Jadeja was'nt quite in good form while Raina was in very good form....

So i kept Raina in very aggressive mode and Jadeja in normal mode, but the main turning point came where,

in last 2 overs i needed 16 runs where i punched Play Over button and only 2 runs came in that overs..

So, in the last over i needed 14 which was difficult

Won the series against West Indies by 3-1..


on to the 7-match ODI series against Australia....

The first match, won the toss and elected to bat first....

Good News is that M Hussey and B Lee were injured.

So, at the end of the innings i posted the total of 301.

Good News was that S Tendulkar back in form, scored a brilliant hundred
Sehwag continuing his good form

Watson bowled brilliantly,
Hauritz did most of the damage






Won the game quite comfortably,

P Kumar and I Sharma were not in great form, so gave a chance to Sudeep Tyagi
