Monday Night Raw - Monday 18th June

The pyro blasts for the start of Raw and an explosive show it should be. We start out with the battle of tag team members, World's Greatest Tag Team's Charlie Haas against the World Tag Team Champion's, The Hardy Boyz, Matt Hardy.

Matt Hardy vs Charlie Haas
M.Hardy hits a wicked chop. Kick from Matt Hardy to the leg. Stiff high kick on Haas by Matt Hardy. Cover! 1....2...kick out. Hard back suplex on Haas. Pin : 1....2..no. The match continues. Haas blocks a kick from Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy walks into a stiff lariat clothesline from Haas. Pin : 1....2..no. The match continues. Short range spear from Charlie Haas. M.Hardy ducks a wild right hand. M.Hardy face jams Charlie Haas. Charlie Haas can barely stand. Here it comes - Twist Of Fate. 1....2...3, it's finished. Shelton Benjamin comes running down the aisle with a chair! Matt Hardy is just leaving the ring...and Shelton scores with a brutal chair shot! Matt Hardy falls to the floor holding his head.

Backstage Batista is preparing for his match in his locker room. Suddenly Mark Henry bursts in making the Animal jump.

Henry: You Batista! I want you! It is time your you to be destroyed by the Silverback!

Batista: Mark, you are already facing me tonight along with Randy Orton. The WWE Championship shot is on the line. There is nothing which is going to keep me from gold. Don't get in my way Mark, or you will regret it.

The two giant men move into each other.

Henry: It looks like we have a problem then! It is time for the Silverback to become World Champion. Tonight you become the first victim on the Silverback's rampage!

Mark Henry turns and leaves, leaving Batista stood in the locker room pondering the match.

Back to Raw and the competetors are being announced for the Intercontiental Championship match. After the champion, Shelton Benjamin, is introduced The Rock's music hits! The Raw GM makes his way to the ring with a mic and stands in the middle of the 4 men in the match.

Rock: Finally, The Rock has come back to Georgia! Now The Rock see 4 guys in this ring who want to kick some candy ass so The Rock will make this quick. At Vengeance, whoever wins this match tonight will defend the title. His opponents in that match will be decided tonight by this match's outcome. The Rock knows already that the champion, Shelton Benjamin, will definitely be in that match either as champion or using his rematch clause and The Rock also knows that another man, Santino Marella, has earned his spot in that match. So it is up to you two to prove your worth to The Rock to get in that match which The Rock will finalise next week. The Rock says ring the damn bell and just bring it!

Rocky gets out of the ring and the match can now start

Vertical suplex by Santino Marella. Big forearm by Santino Marella. Cover! 1....2...kick out. Gutwrench into a powerbomb, J.Hardy hits hard. Santino Marella gets taken down out of nowhere. Legsweep out of nowhere. Hooks the leg : 1....2....shoulder up. Second rope splash by J.Hardy. Pin : 1....2..no. The match continues. Jeff Hardy gets taken down out of nowhere. Marella drives a forearm into the chest of Hardcore. Tag to Hardcore Holly. Flying shoulder tackle by Hardcore sends J.Hardy to the mat. Hardcore Holly DDTs Hardcore. Big backdrop on J.Hardy, executed well. Massive lariat. Pin : 1....2....no! They cut that one close. Hardcore tags out to Shelton Benjamin. Spin kick by Shelton Benjamin to the face. J.Hardy walks into a face crusher variation. Pin : 1....2..no. The match continues. Shelton Benjamin hits a rolling kick on J.Hardy. Hooks the leg : 1....2....shoulder up. Flying elbow off the top rope by Shelton Benjamin. Pin : 1....2....no! Shoulder up at the last second. J.Hardy tags out to Santino Marella. Brutal forearm by Marella. Shelton tastes a high angle back suplex. Shelton takes a back suplex. Marella walks into a trip. Slingshot clothesline by Shelton. Santino Marella is in trouble. Here it comes - T-Bone Suplex. 1....2...3, it's finished.

On the resumption of Raw we have Randy Orton backstage with a message.

Orton: Tonight I compete in a No.1 Contender Match against the 2 men drafted from Smackdown, Mark Henry and Batista. I know that I can beat these guys easily, Batista I know what you are all about already from Evolution. And Mark Henry, the man who used to call himself "Sexual Chocolate". Tough. But it isn't those men who are on my mind. John Cena. You have had that WWE Championship for too long and now it is the time of The Legend Killer to become the top man in the business once more. I have destroyed the legends of some of the biggest names in WWE, The Undertaker, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. You are just a puny obstacle compared to them. Your legend will be stopped before it even starts when I beat you at Vengeance and become WWE Champion.

Back to the ring it is time for the Diva's No.1 Contender match between some of the best Women in wrestling.

Trinity vs Jillian Hall vs Candice Michelle
Candice Michelle uses some crappy looking kicks. Incredibly weak headbutt on Trinity by Candice. Jillian Hall reverses a waistlock. Candice Michelle takes a knee lift from Jillian Ha. Trinity hits a missile dropkick on Jillian Ha. Pin : 1....2....no! They cut that one close. Candice hits an arm drag on Trinity. Trinity avoids an avalanche, Candice Michelle hits the turnbuckles hard. Jillian Ha \ Trinity whip Candice into the ropes and hit a double clothesline. Flying knee to the face from Jillian Hall. Kick from Trinity to the leg. Trinity only gets knees on a splash. Jillian Ha hits a spinning back kick. Melina comes running down the aisle with a chair! Jillian Ha and Candice Michelle continue fighting, unaware of the intrusion. Melina slides in and blasts Candice Michelle with a chair to the head! Melina climbs out of the ring, the damage done! Jillian Hall has Candice Michelle down on the canvas and is ascending the corner. Through the air, Moonsault! 1....2....3.

Melina gifts Jillian Hall the win over her biggest title rival Candice! Jillian will challenge Melina at Vengeance.

Santino Marella is in the ring back from the break. He has already been announced to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship at Vengeance.

Marella: I am against at least Shelton Benjamin at Vengeance, but I want him to come down here right now to get to preview what will come to you at Vengeance

Nobody seems to be coming, until Benjamin storms out the crowd behind Marella and hits him from behind. He lays lefts and rights onto Marella, but he fights back landing punches of his own. Santino hits an arm drag, followed by a suplex. He goes to the floored Benjamin and locks the Triangle Choke on! Benjamin is in agony! Marella releases it and walks away, having made his impression.
Chez's Notes: Shelton Benjamin lost 2 points of overness from this segment for being beaten, but Santino Marella gained 1 point of overness from this segment for coming out on top.

Backstage now Candice Michelle is running around with Todd Grisham chasing after her.

Todd: Candice, can you tell us what you are looking for?

Candice: Melina where are you! Get out here now!

Candice continues to run around being followed by Todd. Finally they burst into a room where they find Melina and Vicsera in an "interesting" position. Candice goes to get Melina, but is stopped by Big Vis.

Viscera: Woah! Hold up lady for Big Vis.

Candice: Let me get to her! Let me go!

Melina: No, you see you can't come and get me since it seems you haven't earned a chance to come and get me, seeing as you lost tonight. I have managed to, convince, Viscera here to stop you little **** from getting to me.

Candice: You ruined my match! I want to go for your Womens Title!

Melina: Sorry, it seems you cant now. Vis, lets go somewhere quieter, shall we?

The 2 of them leave a very angry Candice behind, who picks something off the floor and flings it against the wall.
Chez's Notes: Melina lost 2 points of overness from this segment for being a bitch. Candice Michelle gained 3 points of overness from this segment for standing up for herself.

The Champ is in action next against the newly changed Nick Dinsmore.

John Cena vs Nick Dinsmore - Non-Title
eBig forearm by Nick Dinsmore. Armbar takedown from Nick Dinsmore, nicely done. Cena gets caught with a belly to belly suplex from Dinsmore. Cover! 1....2...kick out. Cena gets caught with a short powerbomb from Dinsmore. Hooks the leg : 1....2....shoulder up. Nick Dinsmore gets taken down out of nowhere. Dinsmore receives some punishment. Pin : 1....2..no. The match continues. Dinsmore walks into a spike slam. Dinsmore powers out of a headlock. Belly to belly off the top rope, Cena may be dead! Jim Duggan runs down the aisle and into the ring, carrying a chair! Dinsmore turns...and gets floored with a chair to the head! The referee has no choice but to call for the bell! Disqualification! Jim Duggan isn't finished with his attack yet! Nick Dinsmore stands up...and walks into a boot to the gut from Jim Duggan. 3-Point Stance!!! Nick Dinsmore has been put down on the canvas! Jim Duggan shakes his head and raises three fingers instead. Dinsmore gets picked up...and hit with another 3-Point Stance! Nick Dinsmore is spread-eagled on the canvas. Duggan again raises three fingers. Referees hit the ring, but are too scared to get too close. They can't stop this carnage...3-Point Stance, the third one in a row! Jim Duggan eventually leaves the ring, as medics come to attend to Dinsmore, who isn't moving.
Nick Dinsmore gained 1 point of overness from this match.

Dinsmore wins against Cena by DQ, but gets destroyed by Duggan who he betrayed 2 weeks ago! The legend lays him out!

Batista vs Randy Orton vs Mark Henry - No.1 Contender Match
Batista fires off some right and left hands. Batista slams Randy Orton. Mark Henry pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Mark Henry hits a right hand on Batista. Hard slam by Orton. Pin : 1....2....no! Shoulder up at the last second. Rude Awakening on Randy Orton by Batista. Orton blocks a suplex attempt. Henry \ Orton whip Batista into the corner. Mark Henry whips Randy Orton in for a hard clothesline to follow-up. Mark Henry with a standing spinebuster. Randy Orton uses a forearm to the face. Randy Orton gets taken down out of nowhere. Batista gets squashed in the corner with a clothesline. Batista grabs Mark Henry from behind and shoves him into the ropes, then scores with a roll-up...but Henry rolls through with the move! He used a pull of the tights to get Batista over! 1....2...3! The referee was out of position and didn't see it!

The Rock is making his way out! Rocky arrives in the ring angrily to get a mic!

Rock: Hold up for one second, there is no way, and The Rock means no way that The Rock can let that happen. You see The Rock was watching from the back and he spotted your piece of cheating Henry! Now, The Rock doesn't know which of you jabronies are gonna go and fight for the WWE Championship, but The Rock does have one announcement. Next week it will be a tag team match with Mark Henry and Randy Orton against Batista and WWE Champion John Cena!

Cena's music hits as he heads down the ramp to stand facing the ring. Batista walks over to join with him.

Cena: If you boys want some, then next week come get some!

Rock: If yaa smeeellllalalalalah what The Rock is cooking!

Cena and Batista play to the crowd on the ramp while Orton and Henry look on angrily in ring to bring Raw to a close


We got a 6.78 rating for 'RAW', which is up from last week's 6.04

Some good matches there. Matt Hardy vs Charlie Haas is pure gold, I didn't quite get the stips for the IC match. Shelton and Marella are in, but is it gonna be a triple threat or something?!?

Big Vis as Melina's bodyguard= HA.

Like the whole Number 1 contender thing, this is all very realistic. Nicely done.
