World ODI Team?

Hayden? Retired 2-3 years ago
Vaas? Done for 2 years
Lee? Hasn't played any meaningful cricket for a year
Hussey is wasted at #7.

Yeah but how else would you explain the inclusion of hayden, lee, vaas and murali who are all retired/past their best.

How would you explain the inclusion of de Villiers, Pietersen and Dhoni in the team of the decade. Maybe the decade we are in but not in the last one. Kallis, Lara, Gilly, Sanga, Gayle would all be in if it was last decade.

I couldn't find anybody better then Kallis for that spot who also bowls good, being a medium pacer was also in his favour.
I thought that 5th bowler is missing and I just leave it to Sachin, Sehwag and pietersen.

Mitchell and Wright and even Sakib are not for an world ODI XI.
how many games have they both played, I think Marsh hasn't made his debut yet.
I would also rate Dale Steyn over Broad and Murli over Swann. Swann is still okay in that lineup.

Moreover i tried to keep the team young with the exception of Sachin which i think is understandable.

Agree with you, I also thought the same, he's also my favourite Aussie AR.

But at any time Sehwag is better as an opener than Watto.
