What has Pathan done to deserve the No 8 spot? Or Flintoff for that matter. Not played any real length of test cricket in over a year.

With those two in the side it brings alot more balance to the team.

pathan looks a real good swing bowler who can bat,and freddie at full fitness is as good as any allrounder in world cricket.

Steyn was in my thought's but i went with pathan instead

Lee and sidebottom opening with pathan and flintoff as they other pace options, plus the spin of vettori sounds pretty damn good to me.

anyways,you havent posted you're team.

Mike Hussey is all class.

he averaged 48.66 with a highest score of 145*

Steyn has simple got to be in the best world 11 at the moment, him and lee are by far the best seamers around, flitoff, when fit, gets into the team, but will his ankel ever be the same again???.

i totally agree with the top 4, but id prob have chanderpaul at 5 insted of hussey and id have murali in insted of Vettori, but vattori would be my 12 man incase they came to a spinning wicket where id play him and murali together

If that were the case, I wonder how everyone seems to have forgotten Dravid. Except for the last 6 months, he has been outstanding averaging above 60 for the past 6 years or so.

My team would be

Hayden
Smith
Ponting
Tendulkar
Dravid
Kallis
Dhoni
Murali
Lee
Steyn
Akhthar

Can't help but notice the dearth of good fast bowlers. Had a hard time picking them.
