You say "don't say blu-ray" but it is a major thing.
When the quad-layer blu-ray discs come out, they will be able to store up to 100gb, just imagine the amount of game data that could hold. Games could potentially have much bigger maps, more teams, more players, just more of everything basically because of this amount of space that is available compared to the DVDs the Xbox 360 uses.
Games seem to have very similar graphics and if one has better graphics then it will only be very slight differences, not really a thing to decide which console to go for.
The games on it now are far from crappy and there are a fair few of them, but how many do people need? A few good ones is better than 100 average ones.
Also, development tools have been brought down in price which may lead to more PS3 games being made...:

I think the PS3 has more processing power and memory as well.
They are both quality consoles and it's good that we have a choice (because it gives us more options and forces both to compete with each other, resulting in better products in the future).
But for me, I think a PS3 would be the better option because I just want it for Fifa and GTA basically (and maybe PES), and although I like online gaming, I think it is being overrun by twats who will cheat and exploit things etc, so I wouldn't be too bothered by losing out on a few online features for a console that seems much more reliable, a bit more powerful and and with the potential that blu-ray could hold. Also, the PS3 seems quieter that the Xbox 360.
I understand why some people like Xbox 360 better though, some people only get consoles to play online.
It's all about opinions and if your opinion is that Xbox 360 is better, great, enjoy it, I'm glad you like it and I hope it serves you well.
I just think the PS3 seems the better thing for me to get.
