You're wrong, but fair enough.

This is the truth. It's not until you see a PS3 up close to respect the sheer good looks of the thing, its a fantastically designed and built console, feels like a real piece of kit as opposed to the 360 which feels as flimsy and cheap as it looks. Both are great consoles, but the PS3's shinyness and pure build quality and feel makes it far superior in that department.

When I had the first Xbox 360, I felt it wasn't finished properly. The white didn't work and it was loud inside and it clunked a lot when it was moved. The Elite seems to have been finished off in a nice black so that's ok.

The PS3 is nice, bit of a funny shape. It's one thing that annoys me though: how do I keep the consoles clean (free of dust) for more than half an hour?

Get a cleaner house ?

I was going to add to that post 'and don't say get a cleaner house' but I thought people would be more sensible than that. I live in a perfectly clean house thank you very much. It's just the things collect dust so quickly.

When I went out this morning I didn't expect to come back with the Xbox 360 Elite! It came with 2 free (debatable) games, I chose Assassin's Creed and Project Gotham Racing 4.

It's better in black than when I had it in white. It still makes a lot of noise compared to the PlayStation 3, I will get used to it after a while though.

Any suggestions for other games to rent/buy?

If your into it.....you could go for Gear of War, I personally didn't get into it but you might....I don't get what the big deal is with the noise tbh it's bareable and when your playing if your playing with a good setup the surround sound of the games cuts it out completly.

I got kinda bored of it in season mode seems really boring just race race race race, buy buy buy buy that was like all it really was.

Well... It is a racing game... :p
Same could be said about football: football football football, transfer transfer transfer and we bloody love that :D.

Even if it is a game that I get bored of, the amount of stuff in the game and online play should keep me interested for a while, can't complain at that price anyway.

And Lee, EA Skate is a really good game, and it may suit you because of your username :p I take it you still like skating.
I would say Fifa also but you have that on PS3.

What type of games are you looking for, there's CoD4, Halo 3 (overrated), Oblivion, Bioshock, Gears of War, Fight Night... There's a very big list of good games (unlike PS3 ;).)

I tried Skate on PS3, didn't like it tbh, fiddly controls. Tony Hawk is still king.

Fight Night is good. CoD4, might give it a whirl. Loving Assassin's Creed right now.

No no no no!!! :p Skate >>>>>>> Tony Hawk ;).
Yes the controls are fiddly at first but once you get used to them, they far surpass anything the Tony Hawk series offers in terms of realism and how rewarding it is to pull off a good trick.
200 trick combos which get you millions of points are nowhere to be seen in Skate, a trick to be considered good doesn't need to be a transfer over a building while doing 4 flips :p.
Tony Hawk is an arcade game and has been very similar since it's first version.

Seriously, when I first played Skate on a PS3 I thought, "These controls really suck" but when you get into using them, it is very satisfying to pull off good tricks.

This is my opinion at least, and I have played all the Tony Hawk games and played Skate a bit.

Skate>Tony Hawk

Skater havent you realised a lot of people were saying how great Tony Hawk is and all that but now that a better game has came along people hate the game, same with PES and Fifa.
