As a whole Sarfraz is wasting himself at No.06

He is for sure, Ever since He became captain he has been looked quite under pressure for his own batting performance. He should take the lead from his batting to lead from the front, As much as the talent he posses he can contribute more value to the team if he comes up the order a bit. Although, I don't see him as an Opener after Imam-ul-Haq knocks considering Imam and Fakhar are two specialist openers. There is no place for Imad but he is in the head of the captain and coach I believe and you can't get rid of him till he makes you lose one thousand matches apparently. Also, Fakhar needs to forget about CT final now and start performing more consistently than what he is doing. Imam looked to me more compact and sensible in his approach towards batting relative to Fakhar. I feel Fakhar needs to improve a lot

In the next ODI tour, the selection will matter a lot as well. If Azhar would be back so you will make him open with Fakhar? You can either distort this wonderful talent or you can manage them well to achieve great results. Got only two options.

In defense of Sarfraz, He is a wicket keeper and thus its an added pressure to bat in top order, keep wickets and then lead a team like Pakistan. But I feel once the team gets settle, he will come in the top order.
As far Imam is concerned, he has few critical issues similar to Fakhar and both of these opener will have a long low scoring period unless they work extra hard on those issues. We can only afford one such opener for now and to me that is Fakhar, he just need a solid head on the other end.

I'd still back Shehzad as an opener with either Fakhar/Imam. As far as Sarfraz goes, I'd like to see him bat at No. 5 rather than opening, Opening should be done by specialists until or unless Sarfraz regain that opening confidence once again. You are right, things will get better in time. Insha'ALLAH

He has been mishandled tremendously. I believe he needs more confidence. He was your established batsman until mishandled by Waqar Younis big time.

I think after he got hit on head. He is not looking the vintage Shehzad anymore...
