40,20,30,30,20.. everyone getting in and losing their wicket to a shot that could be avoided. Absolutely criminal! We are better then what the scoreboard shows!

That was some amazing batting by Sundar and Shardul after Pant got out. I wasn't expecting the fightback, but they have done very well so far. For us, it's just about batting time here. I heard on the commentary that some showers are forecasted for tomorrow and even more on Day 5.

I hope Shardul is ok.

Yup, 3-4 hours of shower expected tomorrow and Day 5. If we survive and get the lead to <75, I have a feeling we will retain the BG trophy. Feel a draw is on the card. Everything depends on this session.

This series is one of the best I've seen in some time. This is why I absolutely hate 2-Test series. Get 'em playing, damnit.

Lyon is causing some issues. They want to attack him, but he's giving them very little at the moment.

Will edit this when the 50s come.

Washington edged that?

147.5kmph by Starc. That's rapid.

Welp, 4 leg byes off of the buttocks, I'll take it...what the hell? That's not a single you need to be taking...

1.35am - What a shot to bring up fifty for Shardul.

1.37am - Washington on 49 now.

1.41am - Fifty for Washington Sundar!

This isn't India's A team or B team...we're probably heading into the third choice picks here. And they're doing what they need to do. I don't think it's about the Border/Gavaskar Trophy anymore, it's about pride, and believe me, I'm damn proud of what India has done so far in this series.

I think the only way the Aussies are going to get a wicket here will be to bowl someone like Smith.

It seems to me that Tim Paine is more concerned with giving each of his three frontline quicks equal overs. Why when Starc is going for double the runs of Hazlewood and is well above Cummins run rate too. Even the rookie Green has looked more effective than Starc.

When two guys that average @12 and @30 in First Class cricket can stave off arguably the best attack in world cricket then that speaks volumes for the lack of life now in this Gabba deck.
Shardul is definitely a better batsman than his average suggests. I have been watching this guy since 2013 and he was a very good batsman in situations like this. He did pull Mumbai out of trouble a quite a few times in Ranji Trophy.

Yeah Shardul is defo better than that average of 12 while Sundar has it in him to be a long-term Jadeja replacement, the bloke bats all over the order for Tamil Nadu and has frequently played as a pure batsman too. Take a bow though Washington Sundar, three wickets and a fifty on test debut when your last FC game was three years ago is something special.

Also goes to show that had Indian top order not thrown away the wickets like they did a big lead was surely on the cards Australia would have been batted out of this game.

But Great batting so far this by Thakur and Sundar.

Pat Cummins into the attack a wicket is on the cards now.
