That was fantastic.
India batted brilliantly. Yuvraj, Dhoni were superb. Ghambir/Rohit, didn't do a lot, but contributed. Shame about Shewag's thigh, in doubt for the final?
India bowled brilliantly, and awfully. In equal measure, they just such a massive total. I though Sreesanth was excellent, bowled some unplayable deliveries, Joginder was a bit pathetic, but he didn't get hit for six sixes so he played his part in the final over I suppose. Harbahjan bowled alright I though, needs to stop bowling darts though. RP Singh got a bit of unfair tap, but that's the nature of 20/Twenty Cricket.
India deserved it in the end. I felt their fielding was really good in general as, a few sloppy pieces of groundfielding, but there were several balls that could have been diving catches that the players still threw themselves at when they weren't carrying. Shows real commitment to put you face on the line.
I think Dhoni lead well, had a bit of trouble with Sharma getting hit but Sreesanth corrected that by bowling so well. Harbahjan's late over was fantastic also.
Albeit a vastly changed side from the tour of England the players just look a lot happier under Dhoni, I like the way they play their Cricket under him, he leads well imo. Having now seen him do it a lot more, I'm confident he's going to do a real good job for you.
I also particularly liked his interview with Shastri, mentioning Shastri's article on Cricinfo saying he could never lead a side to beating India.
