Mate, enthusiasm is one thing, and for all I know it is a good thing. Read about Cricinfo servers crashing? That's enthusiasm. Heard / read about the fireworks in Mumbai and many other parts of India? That is enthusiasm. But do you see fireworks going around today? Expressing your happiness about him hitting a 200 is of course natural, I did so, here, at FaceBook, etc. everywhere. But going around in every single thread which has the slightest of relations to Indian Cricket and continually posting again and again "Tendulkar is God" or anything about the 200 perhaps, is pretty annoying. I'm not expressing my views against "Tendulkar is God", I know the context people say it in and I understand that, I'm just talking about the rather irritating frequency. Can't we appreciate Tendulkar, and his class, his legacy, his amazingness, in 1-2 threads?

Oh and hey, thanks for the suggestion on logging out of PC, but no thanks. I think I know what I'll do.

yes, it can tend to get a bit repetitive but i think you know how we usually celebrate on such occasions. just give it some time and it'll fade away on its own..

even I can't open PC many times and it was slow when the match was going on.

It would not be a big deal if this was a forum specifically designated for Indian cricket fans. This is a forum for all cricket fans, you don't see fans of any other nations make so many spam thread/posts for individual performances of their players.

couple of reasons for this :

- its sachin tendulkar who has broken this barrier,not some yuvraj singh or a raina or a rohit sharma. you very well know the demi-god status he has in india.

- indians are the most passionate and the craziest lovers of cricket.FACT!

- indians over-do everything. joy, sadness, victory, defeat etc..

- most of the indians in this forum are illiterate with regards to "International" Forum posting methods. and this can be attributed to the fact the the phenomenon of internet and especially the forums has just kicked in among the indians. we are fairly new to the concept.

and the admins are gonna merge / close most of these threads pretty soon anyway...
so no need to make a huge cry about it.

Ah the 'jealousy' defense - one of the weakest arguments in the world.

What does Hmarka have to be jealous of? I was labelled 'jealous' in my thread about the Australian cricket team. But I'm not jealous at all, I just consider most of the Australian cricket team to be a pack of egotistical cockheads (especially Johnson). On the other hand, I love players like Tendulkar and Jayasuriya who mix their success with class.

Hmarka has a nice car, a nice piano and a nice little doggie. And for all we know, he probably has a reasonably attractive girlfriend. So to accuse him of being jealous of some international sportstar is both inane and insane. You cannot compare the two. It's apples and oranges. It's utterly absurd.
