So guys dont even know that it was Dhoni who cancel the 2nd run when Amla dive to save four (there was clearly and easy 2 runs) because he wants Sachin on strike. :facepalm

The camera went there when both had almost decided not to run. So, there isn't a proof whether Dhoni said "No" or Sachin.

Did you read the first post?
Still I am sure Dhoni would have give him single if not in this ball then a last ball.

And for those who calling him selfish.
Dhoni played the 5th ball to take Single and wanted to give strike to Sachin but Sachin said No so Dhoni can pull it off the last ball. Dhoni came early only to bring run rate above.

That was because Sachin had scored 200, and was tired. He know that he couldn't strike the ball for a six, due to various cramps. Dhoni could do it. Also, if Sachin would have faced the last delivery, he had to go for a big shot, which was not possible at that stage for a person battling out the entire 50 Overs at the age of 36.

Only two other people here, apart from Yudi are calling him selfish.

And that is because of Yudi's first post, which I'm almost certain is wrong. I highly doubt Sachin would put himself before his team.

Well, in such a situation, all the theoretical thoughts go bad!
Sachin stopped Dhoni, and rightly so. Anyone would have done so. Sachin didn't do anything wrong!

It was Dhoni who was selfish.

I wonder how would you have posted this if there was Sehwag instead of Dhoni... :sarcasm

Sachin himself said that "I was not playing for my 200. I just wanted to score some for my team. But when I reached 190 only then I though I can make 200 also"

This shows Sachin doesn't care about his 200. He only wants to do something for his team and not himself. His team comes before himself :clap

Well, Sehwag would have given the strike much much earlier to Sachin than Dhoni did.

Relax people, I'm pretty much sure it was mutual understanding and neither of them needed to say anything. It wasn't a very easy double either. Besides, all those times Dhoni took singles off the last ball, it was obvious he had been going for the shot rather than a single and they were just better balls.

People these days, would do anything for a conspiracy gossip! :facepalm

I'm really not sure where this thread is going, it seems to be just where people speculate on whether they think a player is selfish or not. If it's not possible to present any hard evidence in support of an opinion, then there isn't much point having one.
