a quick question what was better brian lara 2007 or ashes cricket 2009 ??

and when can we expect the next cricket game and what wud it be not nessicarily by codies??

Ashes 09 is way better than BLIC 07 which tells you a lot about BLIC 07. Trine games have recently semi-announced that they wil be semi-announcing something in the near future, possibly in conjuction with EA. TAOC is still in development but coming closer and Codemasters have said that they want to produce Ashes 10 so ther is hope but we have all been down that road many times........

This is one of those periods where you just have to forget about possible future cricket games. It's impossible to know anything without official announcements. Perhaps we can expect something as we get closer to the Ashes series in November, but other than that, I expect nothing.

Probably a good call and it is better to try and enjoy what is there than desperately wait for something that might be a. just as bad, b. never come! (The B option got me fired from my job of making porn B-movies!)

how about making a PC cricket game instead of a console to PC game

how about making use of quad core power & high end graphic cards

instead of a 2 gig game make a 10 gig game, then make a console version

I dont like my chances of this happening

ok how about 2 vs 2 online & be able to save online plus just add the beta patches we didnt get ????? then charge me another $60 for the game

sounds fair

i suggest that all people playing ashes09 online should be able to connect to each other and as cheweydog said there should be online multiplayer where there should be a option where the whole xi (where everyone controls one player) should be able to play another xi so 11 vs.11.

well 1 thing i really want is either save option online
or we are allowed to setup a game for ex we can decide no of overs bowled, conditions ,batsman left etc
this would really help in playing online tests and 50 over games
developers hv to understand that cricket is different from other sports which finish quickly
a test b/w good players can be very long

what lonewolf suggested will also reduce the amount of quitters, if they have a genuine reason to leave they can save the game and come back later to finish.

I think I'm right in saying that Codemasters purchased a 2-year Ashes license, so I'd be surprised if they didn't use it and release a game for the November Ashes tour.

Stats, Info, Stats, Info, More Stats and More Info.

Each player should have a public record of how many matches he has played, how many won, lost, quitted, how many runs they have scored in total, number of wickets lost etc.. and all this should be converted into a rating score, so when you come across a player you know if he is a brilliant/good/average/poor/rubbish player.

That will solve all the quitting problems, as if you come across a player who has played 20 games and has quitted 18, you obviously will not play him. I don't think this feature will take much effort, if Miniclip.com can do it for online pool which is free, then why the hell can't codemasters create it when they charge ?40 for the game.

More meaningful Rankings, the rankings have to take into consideration how many games have been won or lost, it should not all be about who has got the most runs, as anyone can do that by simply playing more and more. But a win/loss ration would be more useful.

If they solve just this out and forget everything else I will be more than satisfied for paying another ?40.

The game has sold already, why wouldn't they just make the game the same but with 3 mobile ashes series - it's the easiest thing for them, it will still sell and in great numbers
