Franks and Swann are both capable batsmen.

Yeah I know but when you're 8 wickets down needing to bat out 2 sessions to save the game it's entirely unrealistic for 2 lower/tail-order batsmen to save the match, it's like Plunkett and Harmison batting 2 sessions to save an Ashes test, it wouldn't happen.

Ha ha! It's wicked! I was chasing over 300 and I was going at about 11 an over after 7 overs. I was like, this is really un-realistic. But it's good. It went down to 6.7 and then my laptop hibernated because of low battery. When I turned it back on, it had screwed up and gotten out of it.

Gotta say I'm impressed with the game, even if batting is a bit easy at times. Made 719/6 as Somerset against Derbyshire, 3 centuries and a 200 from James Hildreth. Maybe it was just the Taunton pitch mind you...

Hopefully the patch will address some of the more irritating problems already mentioned in the thread, but I can live with them for now.

Yup - run outs occur in this version (unlike in the last version, if my memory serves me correctly).

Having played it for a little longer, I am reasonably impressed, still needs some work but we know that the makers want to improve it, unlike some companies.

Batting is just a little too free scoring, I was slightly disappointed that field placings where in set places, as opposed to anywhere (like on ICC06). Too many catches are dropped also. It's good and an improvement, I might buy it (it's not exactly expensive), just need to work out which way as it doesn't accept Solo.

One thing that would be really good for a patch would be a feature where the counties play one home game a year at another ground, so for example Somerset play a game at Bath and Surrey play a game at Guildford etc.

Hey. Is there any chance of a limited features but unlimited time demo? Perhaps you could only play as a certain club for 6 months or so like last year? It's just that 1 day isn't much time to assess how good a game is and I was stupid and installed it the morning of a day that I then was out the whole day for...:(

Will the patched version maybe come with another 1 day trial like you did last year?

Also, on another minor note, it was a good idea to go with eLicense. Their payment methods may be a bit limited but it's much better than the pissweak softwrap which can be bypassed by a toddler with a plastic toy computer. As far as I'm aware, eLicense is stronger than that so you should be rewarded for your hard work :)

One thing I would say is could you change the highlights box so it doesn't go into slow motion when a wicket falls, because you know exactly what is going to happen in the game before it happens, it would be better to change it so you don't know when there will be a wicket.
