nice return by the bowlers there to restrict them

yes, thats what i was also suprised! SA are yet to play a gud cricket in this series! May be its due to punk's magical coaching tactics to England players ;)

South Africa vs England, 3rd Test Day 1 - Stumps!

A very bad start for England they have lost 3 wickets and the last one to go was Kevin Pietersen who was playing wonderfully and went on the last ball befor close of play which is a major blow for the side, RSA proving that they are totally determind to go and win this match and bring life back into the series!

England Mini Collapse!

England are suffering a mini collapse at the hands of South Africa and some pretty average bowling many of the bowlers have strayed onto leg stump time and time again but runs havent flowed as much as England would like them to, in the first couple of overs England looked to bat with intent, Trescothick and Strauss looked very good but then Trescothick went to a very soft dismisal to Pollock he just go done by the slower ball and was caught at extra cover the fielder didnt have to move!

Strauss then followed next over caught at slip playing a defensive shot which looked to be perfectly timed but EA Sports are bloody idiots and dont know that if its timed Idealy it shouldnt be edge, so anyway another blow which shouldnt have really been out might cost England a fair few!

Pietersen then went on the last ball befor the close of play which was so crucial him and Vaughan were going perfectly at one stage Pietersen got over 10 in a Pollock over but then it wasnt to be, and he had to depart in the same fashion as Trescothick except this time Boje was the bowler!

So it looks like South Africa are really proving themselves and getting on top real early in this England 1st Innings now Bell and Vaughan are at the crease and if the want a realistic chance of surviving they will need to make 100's and batt fast as they wont want to be wasting to much time!

South Africa vs England, 3rd Test - End Of England Innings!

Its been a thriller of a match so far South Africa have bowled well and England have batted well, but they will feel they should have done better once again a Englishman failed to reach a 100 and Vaughan was close once again but he and we all know close isnt good enough!

Superstar Jacque!

Kalis was the star of the show for South Africa with bat earlier on and now with the ball taking a fabulous 5 wicket haule! Which will boost his and his teams spirits when someone the class of Kalis really chips in big time it will help the whole team who are looking for a match winning performance and that is what Kalis has produced!

Once again England have failed to get 100's and big performances Freddie and Bell were going good at one stage until Bell go really impatiant and tried to get away a good lenght ball which wasnt there to be hit, he also edge it through the slips sometimes and that was the required luck he needed to go on and make a 100 but he has failed to take advantage of it once again. The capitan lead from the front you could say after the two quick wickets fell he really took to the attack from ball one and should have got a 100 but was unlucky and tried to play a rising ball through the covers only for it to be played onto the stumps!

ALERT!

Guys this is a really sad alert after doing my last update I decided to continue my exibition match I had started and because that match was started after this match the save game list went...

AUSmch
ENGmch

so as I was so used to going two down to save the England file I accidently did that and saved the Australia match over this Test :(

So guys Ive decided to give South Africa the win to spice it up a bit, really sorry about this I really wanted this match to go on as It was a challenging one for once, So I shall start the 4th Test Sometime today (and make backups regularly)

Keep tuned and I hope this doesnt put you off!

@Hooper: Nope I dont Autoplay at all, and I picked Jones because I cant tell the difference between the two glove work isnt bad batting sucks for both so no point, Jones won because I like his appeal although it doesnt come ingame :(

Ah, that must be the reason why he was picked for the first 3 ashes test. :p

That's a shame. But if the 4th test is as good as the 3rd we are in for a beauty.

South Africa vs England, 4th Test Begins!

Well here we are at this 4th and final Castle & Largar Test Series match hopefully it should be a big big one and everyone who has showed up should enjoy this dearly!

An amazing atosphere has struck the ground and all the fans simply cannot wait till the action begins in a few moments time, we hear that the teams line-ups are unchanged from the 3rd Tests wispers were that Nel may get a hold in the side and Plunkett may also get his chance in the test arena to prove his talent which he has a lot of, but none of these changes took place but the talk and roumers of them suggest that this may be a bowlers track, we think different we reckon if the batsman get in the it will be hard to get them out and plenty of runs are to be scored here, but for now lets look at the teams pretty much the same....

The Line-Ups!

So both sides unchanged but looking as strong as they have throughout this whole series both of them evenly balanced and thats what has been causing some really tight situations in previous games hopefully this should be as good if not it will be as good as previous matches between these two sides.

Now then befor action kicks off lets take a small overview of the series it started with England dominating winning the first two tests, we thought they would walk away with it but it wasnt to be as South Africa put on an amazing batting performance to take the game away and make the series 2-1 now they must win this match to spoil Englands party and England must win to get their first test series win since the British summer!

England Won The Toss & Elected To Bat!

South Africa vs England, 4th Test - Tea Day 1!

Amazing 1st Wicket Partnership Of 172!

Well what can we say England didnt seem to get out and played amazingly both Strauss and Trescothick piled on the runs to give their team a strong position, they played every ball on its merits and really played a patiant knock together. Both men go through the morning session and nearly made it through the afternoon session or the first part of the afternoon session until Trescothick edged one to the keeper, you could feel it coming as Ntini started his new spell and got the wicket they needed, but it has brought the on form English captain on the crease who has played well in this series.

Strauss Out.......But Not Out?

One thing that came to most if not all peoples attention was this little edging case, now what happened was, Strauss went after a fairly full ball he went for the drive but didnt quite get it as the ball rose a bit on him and edged it towards the slip, it was a genuine edge but the weird thing is the slip caught it around shin height and and hung onto it but none of the team appealed no one went up Strauss never moved and in the replay it showed he had caught the ball at slip and it touched the ground after but still cluched in his hand...but then Boucher also caught the ball with it on the ground so this is some odd mystery going on here?
