Well, well, well; who'd have predicted this? Spain being taken apart by Brazil but to be fair, this sort of result was due. Spain have been less than brilliant in defence in this tournament and could've copped a roasting before this.

Great performance by Brazil.

No. Italy got a confed cup place simply as the EURO runners up because Spain as we know took up two places being w-cup and EURO 2012 winners. Netherlands were never in the equation.

Why Are Brazilians Protesting the World Cup? | The Nation

This is looking a bit serious. Got me rethinking whether i should make the trip to the world cup next year.

Yeah, I wouldn't mate. Stay home and watch it nice and safe from the comfort of your sofa. I reckon there will be big problems at the World Cup next year.

Take that Spain! :lol

My Confed Cup XI (3-5-2):

Julio Cesar
Thiago Silva - De Rossi - David Luiz
Candreva - Paulinho - Pirlo - Iniesta - Marcelo
Fred - Neymar

7 Brazilians, 3 Italians and a solitary Spaniard.

Spurs have got themselves an absolutely special talent in Paulinho. 17m! Brilliant from AVB!

Same thing happened as in Champs Trophy.Brazil is the most favourite country in football all around the world.Same with India and both teams beat an Europian country in final and their continental mates in semi finals.

India vs Srilanka - Asian Countries faced each other in semifinal of champions trophy.

Brazil vs Uruguay - South American Countries faced each other in semifinal of champions trophy.

So I wasn't sure but I was hoping that Brazil will won the cup :D
I'm not a perfect predictor.As I'm not Paul Octopus :D

Ye Paulinho is real serious player, a advancement of Sandro for sure.

Must say i didn't see this result coming, but of course now this win surely give Brazil massive confidence that can win the W-Cup. Plus they have some top back-up options like Dante, Hernandes, Lucas, Ramirez, Sandro, Fernandinho, Rafael, Willian who were bench options or were not part of this tournament.

Surprised Torres started, clearly him and Villa are past their best. I thought they were settling with Soldado as their main striker.

Pique is having a nightmare season for club and country, he will want to forget about it soon.

Still not really convinced by that Brazil defence. I suppose having the best defender in the world and a proper leader makes up for the deficiences around him.

Home advantage is huge for them, especially when you look at past World Cups and how many times the host side has won.

Spain need to freshen up their side. I'm guessing Del Bosque will return to the double-pivot after this. Their defence has never been their strongest point but without Alonso to help out Busquets, they've really been badly exposed.

Italy were excellent again under Prandelli, suffering from a lot of fatigue and injury/fitness problems but still got third place.

Finally samba boys showed the world who they are.
