Results for today:

M'gladbach - Dortmund > 1:0
HSV - Werder > 1:1
Hannover - Bayer 04 > 1:1
Mainz 05 - Hertha BSC > 1:1
Schalke 04 - Wolfsburg > 2:0
FC Bayern - Aachen > 2:1
Stuttgart - Frankfurt > 1:1

A good win for us and some confidence boosting performances by the players. After going 0-1 down to Aachen in the 38th minute Pizarro equalised in the very next minute and then Van Bommel scored his 2nd goal of the season to ensure the three points for us. Top of the table at last and hope we can carry this form to Inter. Magath started with Makaay again and left Podolski on the bench, which turned out to be a good decision in the end...:)

Hariz, tell me how the mid-field is looking with Van Bommel, any thing like the Ballack days or is it still a little shaky? Can't wait for the Champions League encounter now.

I just hope Podolski gets a few more starts, he might start getting irritated with being a bench warmer the whole time.

The midfield is certainly more stable with Van Bommel but as you know he is not an attacking midfielder like Ballack. He distributes the ball well and is a strong fellow in one on one situations. One the whole Hargreaves's injury is a setback but Demichelis is trying hard to fit in the defensive midfielder role. The positives are that Van Bommel is scoring goals already and playing crucial passes to the forwards, which will allow him to settle in and get that leader role in the midfield. Overall the situation looks pretty good, only if Podolski would start getting some goals to ensure his place in the starting 11.

OK, it is time for some real test of composure for us with Inter's forwards coming into form now, especially Crespo. Lets see with what formation Magath operates. I doubt that it is going to be an attacking one.
My starting XI against Inter would be:

--------------------Kahn----------------------
----Sagnal-----Lucio-----Van Buyten----Lahm--
------------------Ottl/Demichelis--------------
----Salihamidzic----Van Bommel----Schweini---
-----------Pizarro------------Makaay/Poldi-----

Great game! Cacau scoring an important goal once again and was a good header by the Brazilian. It was even in the first half but we were clearly better in the second. Gomez is making a habit of scoring goals in games but he is missing quite a few chances as well.

Gameweek 6 results:

Dortmund - Hannover > 2:2
Aachen - Bochum > 2:1
Wolfsburg - FC Bayern > 1:0
Frankfurt - HSV > 2:2
N?rnberg - Mainz 05 > 1:1
Werder - M'gladbach > 3:0
Arminia - FC Energie > 3:1
Bayer 04 - Schalke 04 > 3:1
Hertha BSC - Stuttgart > 2:2

Well another loss to us after we were trying to settle ourselves at the top. I cant believe we failed to score after being the better team throughout the entire match.

Bremen were awesome, scoring 3 goals in five minutes to bring their Champions League form to the Bundesliga.

Its amazing really! We are 12th in the table but just two points behind the leaders.

Has to be the most competitive league at the moment! Great for football!

Yeah it is, I am loving it now that the Bundesliga has turned into such a competitive league with many clubs replenishing their resources with big transfers. Now nothing is predetermined with the league standings shuffling every gameweek.

We played Georgia in a friendly tonight with most of the 1st eleven players resting. The starting eleven did well but eventually the goals came from a terrific long range shot from Schweini and Ballack struck a left-footed finish to sum up things. Trochowski (HSV), Schlaudraff (Aachen), Fritz (Bremen) and Madlung (Hertha) were the debutants and all four of them played really well. Hope we continue this form away against Slovakia.

Formation against Georgia:
--------------------Hildebrand-------------------------
---Fritz-----A.Friedrich----M.Friedrich----Hitzlsperger---
-------------Ballack-----------------------------------
------------------------Trochowski--------------------
------------Podolski---------------Hanke--------------

Results Gameweek 7:

Mainz 05 - Aachen > 1:3
FC Bayern - Hertha BSC > 4:2
HSV - Schalke 04 > 1:2
Stuttgart - Bayer 04 > 3:0
M'gladbach - Wolfsburg > 3:1
Hannover - Frankfurt > 1:1
Bochum - Werder > 0:6

Yeah we cruise to a 4-2 home win over Hertha to get back on track after the Wolfsburg defeat last week. It was a good allround performance with Magath putting three strikers up front (Podolski, Makaay and Pizarro), all of them scored and assured the win.
Bremen absolutely rip Bochum apart with 6 away goals, Diego the playmaker leading from the front layed of many goals and also scored one. Bremen look in supreme touch this season, although they have been poor away from home.
