Good Things About The Game Are...

There are so much of hate threads or whining threads , i think its time we spot the good ones in the game ..

Feel free to post your " Good things " too...

Here is mine


1.) AI pacing , even though its done more aggressively , its a nice thing and makes game more lively , rather than in BLC07

2.)The catching method , i really loved it.. it totally sucked in BLC07

3.)The cute electronic board for scores...

4.)Ground / stadium , more i play , more it becomes beautiful , and Auckland Stadium , WOW !! it was awesome experience !

5.)The new Skill points and locked stadium also makes one play more to see hidden stuff. Many wont like , but personally i felt , this should be the way for making players play for more hours . I felt that there should be a career mode , or manager mode like we have in FIFA and make a team > play with the local teams > win money > Improve skills , Fly abroad > WIn international teams > Win more money > Get ads / Manage ads > Select your team ............ I would love to see a cricket game with career mode , Its time we reinvent the game on how we play .. just like we had it in NFS underground ( a racing game with a story mode ) .This would make playing a fun and enjoying stuff.

6.)Crowd !!!!! I really liked the crowd , rather than just few color shirts and few different heads , in Ashes we see loads of randomness..

7.)The fielding action and throw are done as in real game . as in BLC07 the throws from fielder are always direct , instead of one pitch or two.. this is nice and more acceptable.

8.)The graphics is also done well , except if the upcoming patch could solve the lags / stutters , it would be really nice .

9.) AI - even though still in beta stage if you ask me , is a new chapter in cricket game . its really nice to see AI changing field when we hit boundaries in same direction ... is really a good addition .. BUT THERE IS STILL LOADS OF WORK yet to be done on this aspect ! still only 2 men outside the ring even in test match makes no meaning to the purpose of AI

I like the controls, well implemented except makes but a bit to easy when you can ssee where the balls gonna go.

I like the 360 batting, the catching system and the idea of wind direction although im not convinced it has much effect in game

Some points may be repeated

1. Keeper not taking bails each and every time.

2. Can get caught in cover, if we mistime a shot.

3. Menu Overlays (Its Smooth and simple).

4. we can take singles of the defensive shots.

5. Catching system (Implemented well) .

6. Ball is not spinning too much unlike 2007 version.

7. Player's stamina, level of confidence.

8. Showing hawkeye after every 25 runs batsman has scored like 25,50,75....

9. Loading time is faster (I played in PS3 mostly).

10. Bowling system (Swing/cut/Reverse).

i am planning to get for PS3 , can you compare PS3 and PC versions ? how is the graphics , is there any lags ? stuttering ? any hangs ?

Graphics are not great for a PS3 game. Don't expect graphics as you have for other PS3 games. No stuttering, hanging... Game runs smooth..

Nice post and a good counter balance to much of the other side of the arguments. I personally enjoy playing this game and am appreciating it more and more.

Agreed, but the cover catches are a double edged sword: 9/10 of my wickets fall to catches taken in the covers.

Also, as far as the spin goes, spinners are broken , so I don't use them.

Good stuff! I am dissapointed though that one of them managed to get double figures. That doesn't seem right! You have must have unlocked some kind of secret from them. Whenever I venture onto the spinning side of things I get clobbered big time. Having said that I haven't done all the Legends tutorials on spinning yet. Who knows it might help me.
