ECW On Sci FI - Preview
11th September 2007

Extreme Championship Wrestling is live from one of the venues from original promotion, the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York for the debut of two hour ECW! To celebrate the occasion, there is a host of matches from Extreme Rules to a Ladder match.

First of all, Shane McMahon will be sending a representive of RAW over to the house of extreme to face one of Mick Foley's extremists. Who will the RAW vs ECW encounter? It should be unpredictable. Why? The match will be fought under Extreme Rules...

As well as this, Rob Van Dam will prepare for his match with Carlito at Unforgiven, with a match against the Ayotollah of Rock and Rolla, Chris Jericho. These two have quite a history against each other, but who will win this final battle? The old breed of wrestling or the new breed?

Finally, the main event will see the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, death-defying Sabu take on Carlito in a Ladder match for the ECW World Heavyweight Title. Can Sabu take Carlito to school and teach him a lesson in extreme? Or will Carlito retain and head for a meeting with RVD, as planned?

ALSO: Many more matches including Kane vs Marcus Cor Von

The Scheduled Matches:

The Second City Saints vs Elijah Burke & Kevin Thorn

DH Smith vs John Morrison - Unforgiven Preview

Kane vs Marcus Cor Von

??? vs ??? - RAW vs ECW [Extreme Rules]

Sabu vs Carlito - ECW World Heavyweight Title [Ladder]

PREDICTIONS ARE WELCOME!

(Btw, this has nothing to do with my story, but watch this promo for the WM 24 main event. It is one of the best I've ever seen in the WWE.)

11th September 2007
Live from Manhattan, New York

The cameras pan around the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom, with chants of 'E-C-Dub' and signs saying things like 'Sabu + ladders = ratings'. After a long hype of the new two hour, prime time slot for ECW, Elijah Burke and Kevin Thorn come to the ring, followed by CM Punk and the debutant, Colt Cabana, the Second City Saints.

The Second City Saints vs Elijah Burke & Kevin Thorn:
CM Punk starts against Elijah Burke, who gets the advantage with hard body shots and combos to the ribs of Punk. With Burke manhandling Punk, he brings in Kevin Thorn, who goes to work on the lower body of CM Punk. It doesn't take long for Punk to switch the momentum though, as he hits a huge roundhouse kick to the back of Thorn's head, dropping him to the floor. Punk struggles for the tag, but gets in Cabana, who steamrolls into Burke & Thorn. After a few minutes of dominance from Colt Cabana, he tags in with Punk and they nail the Ram-Man/Anaconda Vice combo for the submission win.

Winners: The Second City Saints via submission.

With Kevin Thorn and Elijah Burke licking their wounds, Cabana takes the microphone and starts to warn the entire WWE roster, that the Second City Saints are back in business and how they will stop at nothing to become the dominant tag team in the wrestling industry.

The scene fades backstage, where Mick Foley is talking to his buddy, Socko, when there is a knock at the door. Tommy Dreamer walks in, to a huge pop from the hardcore ECW fans. Dreamer tells Foley, that he will not let ECW down in the interbrand Extreme Rules match and Foley assures him that he is the best choice for the job. Again, there is another knock at the door and Shane McMahon waltzes into the office. He laughs at Dreamer and tells Foley that 'golden oldie' will get squashed tonight. Literally.

DH Smith w/Stevie Richards vs John Morrison:
Smith is joined by his mentor, Stevie Richards to this preview of Unforgiven's grudge match. Morrison starts the match quickly, but Smith just counters him with his arsenal of powerhouse moves. As both men cancel each other, they both get restless and break into an all-out brawl, throwing each other into the ring steps, announcer's table, barriers and Stevie Richards. However, all three men forget that the referee was making a count, as Smith and Morrison were counted out.

Winner: Draw via count-out.

With Morrison and Smith brawling on the outside, it takes a team of security to set them apart and even that isn't enough, as Morrison jumps onto the barriers and moonsaults onto Smith, knocking everyone down.

As mayhem ensues at ringside, Carlito is shown to watching the brawl on a TV monitor, before laughing. ECW's new interviewer, Miss Kelly Kelly asks Carlito to describe how he intends to retain his title against Sabu later that night. Carlito tells Kelly a Caribbean story about a monkey and a lion. He says how the monkey is Sabu, and Carlito is a strong lion, because lions are cool. As the crowd come to terms with the weirdest promo ever, we cut back to the ring, where Marcus Cor Von awaits his rival, Kane...

Kane vs Marcus Cor Von:
Cor Von awaits Kane in the ring, but when the red pyros explode, Kane doesn't arrive. After a few minutes of waiting, Cor Von prepares to leave the ring. But all of a sudden, a second set of pyros explode and Kane assaults Cor Von from behind! Kane spins Cor Von around and clotheslines him to the mat, before picking him up, grabbing his neck and hitting the Chokeslam from Hell for a pinfall victory.

Winner: Kane via pinfall.

Cor Von struggles on the floor, as Kane takes a microphone and prepares to give a rare word or two. He warns Shelton Benjamin and Mr. Kennedy, that Unforgiven will see a new reign for Kane, and they will both rest in peace. However, during mid sentence, the lights turn a blood red and the elusive code appears. It says 'Phenom_will_not_be_spared' and 'Unforgiven_beginning_of_the_end'. As red smoke starts to form around the ring, Kane is visibly disturbed and starts to shout. He practically goes mad and picks up Marcus Cor Von, chokeslamming him again. The lights go totally off and when they come back on, Kane is gone and Cor Von is bleeding heavily.

After a commercial break, the cameras pan to a locker room, where most of the ECW Originals are gathered around Mick Foley. Foley tells them that RVD has been viciously assaulted and he may not make it to Unforgiven to face Carlito. Tommy Dreamer tells Foley, that RVD has to get there, unless Sabu can defeat Carlito later in the ladder match. Foley agrees, as EMT's carry away Van Dam. Who attacked RVD?

The scene fades to a highlight package of Smackdown's newest member, Jay Lethal. There is a voiceover, as Lethal tells the fans that he will become the Cruiserweight Champion after Unforgiven, when he faces Gregory Helms. He also says that the WWE has never seen anything like him and he is a Lethal Combination of speed and technical ability. Will Lethal live up to his word?

Tommy Dreamer vs ??? [ECW vs RAW Extreme Rules]:
As Dreamer comes out of the curtain to near-riot applause with a trolley of weapons, Shane McMahon appears to huge booing, a microphone in hand:

Shane: Dreamer! You may be an ECW Original, a king of extreme, but prepare to get crushed by my RAW representive............ UMMMMMMMMMAGA!!

Umaga steamrolls past Shane McMahon and runs down the ramp, as Tommy Dreamer prepares to do battle. The two men brawl outside the ring, but Umaga just uses his power to dismantle Dreamer. Umaga throws him all around the Hammerstein Ballroom, but Tommy Dreamer fights back and cracks Umaga in the grapefruits with a kendo stick. From there though, Umaga became angry and twice as deadly, as the Samoan Bulldozer used weapons as well. After using a chair, a bell and a trolley, Umaga went for the Samoan Spike, but decided against it. Placing Dreamer on a table, Umaga went to the top rope and went for the splash... DREAMER ROLLS OFF THE TABLE! With Umaga laying between the ruins of a table, Dreamer seized the chance to finish him off. He took a chair to the top rope and nailed a huge top-rope chair leg-drop to bust open Umaga! 1...2...3!

Winner: Tommy Dreamer via pinfall.

Shane McMahon is clearly shocked, as Tommy Dreamer stands tall over the slain Umaga. However, McMahon rushes into the ring and proceeds to beat down Tommy Dreamer, until Mick Foley rushes to the ring! Foley hits Shane with hard shots and lines up a Double Armed DDT onto a cookie sheet... Mick hits it!

After another commercial break and a rebound video from RAW, the ring is cleared and the stage is set for the ladder match between Carlito and Sabu...

MAIN EVENT - Sabu vs Carlito [Ladder for the ECW World Championship]:
Carlito escapes Sabu quickly and grabs the ladder from the ramp. He tries to avoid Sabu by running around him, but Sabu dropkicks the ladder into Carlito's face. Sabu then proceeded to drag Carlito back into the ring and beat him down. Sabu hit Carlito with all manner of weapons, including a trash can, a cookie sheet, a chair and a barbed wire 2x4. It didn't take long for Carlito to bleed, leaving Sabu to go outside and grab the ladder from the ramp again. However, the champion got back up and leapt over the top rope, landing on Sabu and squashing him under the ladder. Carlito quickly took advantage and set the ladder up in the ring. As Carlito climbed it, Sabu got back up and pulled Carlito off by his leg, causing him to land on a set of thumbtacks. Sabu climbed the top rope and went for a leg-drop, but Carlito rolled out of the way and Sabu landed on thumbtacks as well.

Carlito then started to come into his own, as he repeatedly hit Sabu with brass knuckles, causing Sabu to wear a crimson mask. With both men suffering from fatigue, Carlito went for one move, as he nailed a Backcracker onto a barbed wire board, damaging Sabu's back, but the adrenaline kept Sabu going, as he pursued Carlito up the ladder. The two men brawled on top, until Sabu managed to push Carlito to the outside of the ring. With Sabu unhooking the belt, Elijah Burke quickly run down the ramp and climbed the ladder, before hitting a reverse neckbreaker onto the mat! Burke helped Carlito to his feet and pushed him up the ladder, so Carlito could retain the title!

Winner: Carlito to retain the ECW Heavyweight Championship.

Elijah Burke stood over Sabu, with a huge smile on his face, before hitting him several times with a chair. With the fans booing the New Breed, ECW closed with Sabu, lying in a pool of his own blood...

Quick Results:

The Second City Saints defeated Elijah Burke & Kevin Thorn via submission.
DH Smith drew John Morrison via count-out.
Kane defeated Marcus Cor Von via pinfall.
Tommy Dreamer defeated Umaga via pinfall.
Carlito defeated Sabu to retain the ECW Heavyweight Championship.

You may have guessed this, but this is dying very quickly. So like Ric Flair, I think it is time to hang up my boots and call this a day. I don't really want this, since the booking is getting phenomenal, but I am drained and I find it more of a chore now.

Thanks for the support, that I have received especially from the likes of The Spin, sd92, OrderDX, tobes and many more. Without you lot, this would have been short-lived. This may see the light of day again, but until then I'll catch you later.

Sad to hear! Id love for this to keep rolling but totally understand why, best of luck in future stories

Mate, I might not always post but I do reguarly read this. I might not be a big fan of wrestling but I do see how much effort you put into this and this is a fantastic story. I can assure you every story writer has days like this, I know I have, when I'm bowling to the AI when it is being stupid  Please keep this up as all the good and hard work will be a waste.
