great to see Zimbabwe in action. Hope this time they can overcome their bad time and post some good challenge to New Zealand. But anyway it should be an easy picking for New Zealand. Looking forward to te series.

Oh well the New Zealanders can see how Mugabe is destroying the country from the inside.

Lets hope Bond makes a good comeback.

*EDIT*

Infact for anyone who may be interested, I just looked in the paper and it has the results of a warm up One Day game for NZ against Namibia.

New Zealand batted first and scored 326-5 (McCullum 84no, Astle 73no, Fleming 50)

Namibia scored 178 all out (Vettori 3-24 (8 Overs), Bond 2-16 (5 Overs) and Martin 2-26 (5 Overs)) One of our other bowlers must of been pretty damn expensive my guess being Franklin.

In the first Warm Up Game apparantly NZ only won by 29 runs after scoring 330-6 then getting blasted for 301 due to the bowlers not being used to the altitude and not having bowled for a long time. Good to see that they did much better today. Thank god for practice games.

Who are Keith Dabengwa, Neil Ferreira and Anthony Ireland? Why did they leave out Utseya, Chigumbura, Payangara and Williams, as well as a few others?

Im glad a couple of those bigger name players are back for Zimbabwe. It's gonna make things just a little bit harder for the Kiwi's which will be good for them.

Despite the bigger names, those three unknowns there is likely to cancel it all out...

Im really excited about Bond, when he left cricket injured he was the best fast bowler at the time (according to the ratings).
I think he can get back there, he has been saying he feels fitter than ever and that he is letting it rip in the nets at a good rate.

Well I think Panyangara and Chigumbura have done a decent job for Zim imo. But maybe they arent great cricketers and can be punished by a far superior New Zealand team, so maybe these newbies have got a chance to prove that they can do better.

The New Zealand 12 have been named for the first test.

Lou Vincent
James Marshall
Hamish Marshall
Stephen Fleming
Scott Styris
Nathan Astle
Brendon McCullum
Daniel Vettori
James Franklin
Shane Bond
Chris Martin
Kyle Mills

Mills is most likely going to be the 12th man. Good selection, although Styris hasn't been in amazing form with the bat for his county, he has had batting unlike Oram. Also these tests will be good to get him back into form. His bowling was good too. Im happy Oram wasn't selected yet. When his bowling is right then it will be time.
