geez, i wanna bat :P

I hate to bat in wet conditions and our team was struggling as well but Freddie and Tom were there to the rescue. Freddie was brilliant with the ball as well. Was a good day for our team. This story is getting better and better with the updates. Nice presentation and KUTGW :)

Update tonight:swords

Wet and Wild in a water park in Scotland, I didn?t even know it existed!!!

I woke up early and had a nice long shower before heading down to the team room. Sadly as I arrived Suren and Louis were there and the days trip had been cancelled due to rain. This at first was a disappointment as I had been looking forward to the day. Within 20 minutes of the news Louis had come up with a new plan. A trip into town and a visit to the HIGHLAND GAMES, an excitement by all accord and within an hour we were on our way.

A long day although very enjoyable, we took part in the tug of war, tossing the caber and dancing to bag-pipes. TOM Baker proved a solid best at all events as he was brought up in Scotland, our surprise package was Arslaan and Rameez who both starred in tossing the caber and the comedy of the day was Rossco who managed to drop the caber on his toe three times in a row and tried to chat up a Scottish bloke in a kilt.

Overall it was a good day that everyone enjoyed and we are much looking forward to our game against the German National side and then a night out to the movies

Lol, we are enjoying cricket as well as in all other aspects. Great coach ;) And regarding the last match, well, like you mentioned, it was first time, our openers was unable to provide a good start. But overall, very good team effort.

Keep up the good works :clap and not to worry about TIME! :)

Cool at least i can show my talent for the world, maybe i would get pick for a long time next time ;)

With only two games remaining in the tournament i wake up to ruddy rain. Before i even get to the dining hall i can tell the game is going to be cancelled. The showers are hard and it looks like it pissed down all night, Suren immediatly tells me there is no hope of play against the only other unbeaten side in the comp. So with the Germany game cancelled we only needed to win one more game to ensure our place in the final and South Surrey are not going to be easy. They have lost their one and only game against Germany and will be looking to get on top of us to reach the final.

So a free day with nothing to do and i decided to go into town and try and find some nets so me and the boys could mess around and have some fun, TOM Baker and Rossco came along with Rameez, Arslaan, Ross Burden and Innes. We headed out and spent the day playing with a plastic bat and a tennis ball. It was a great **** about and an awesome way to relax with the pressure of the comp heating up. I felt in good touch and scored 8 centuries and a top score of 238 !!!!!!!!!!!

After heading back to the hotel and getting to my room there was a letter on the side i walked over and it had the Middlesex cricket club logo imprinted ont the back, i slowly opened it up and here it is.

Dear Mr. Seccombe

We have watched you play throughout the tournament in Edinburgh and as a representative fo the Middlesex Selectors committee I personally have been very impressed with your performance. I would like to invite you to participate in our 20/20 competition this year in the summer. I know this is a big step and we will talk through a contract later. Although you will be participating and training with the first squad you are only 16 so do not expect to be part of the side immedialty. This is a chance for you to play at the highest level and get to know the standard. Four other members of your side have been offered the same deal. Please Reply with a call or Email.

Yours Michael Harwich

Well i have found out the lucky others who got the letter
- Suren
- Sarvesh
- Tom Baker
- Rossco Mathers

I also found out Innes had one from Lancashire and Arslaan and Rameez from Essex.

It surprises me so many of our players have made it to this level and all for only the 20/20 comp. So i sit here missing out on the movie night thinking that soon i will be amongst Strauss, Shah, Joyce and many many others. The players who i grew up pretending to be in the back yard i will be playing with and against. I may face Flintoff, Hoggard or maybe even Monty. Its going to be awesome although i am already nervous. Another off day tommorow before the big one the following day. Tom was stoked and of course everyone was happy, im sure more people will get in to 20/20 sqads after today ;).
