Ah, damn yet again we go out!
It was a balanced game though. Credit to France for taking advantage of Puyol's stupidness. I will be supporting the Les Bleus for the remainder of the World Cup and I hope they beat Brazil in the QFs.

And yeah, Zidane does rule!

Somehow I was supporting France since all the talk of the media and including the Spanish trainer and some players, that they can't see losing against France. Wasn't really necessary to say that. Normally in these encounters I support France.

Anyway I hope France has builded some trust with this result, since they need it against Brazil.

I am very disappointed. But on the bright side, France is a great team to lose to. And if Spain had lost in the finals, I would have cried.

That Free Kick led to the goal, it was a free kick though imo, as Puyol made sure Thierry had no chance of getting to the ball.

It was a shoulder check and hence does NOT count as obstruction.

Even though it was a disappointing display by Henry it was a foul and Puyol should was pressured by Henry's immence pace.

Henry however disgraced himself yesterday, and I put his performance at par with Rivaldo's in WC 2002.

Well if thats the case it was a free kick although to me it looked like Henry came in and collided into Puyol to get the free kick.

It was a carbon copy incident. Even if Puyol did hit Henry it was on the chest, and Henry covered his face. And Rivaldo did the same thing, even though the ball hit his chest.
