There just isn't room for Hayden right now. Aus still have Jaques and Cosgrove to be opener. The way things are going Jaques will have to wait until after the WC to get another shot.

Again more racial abuse and now even to the Sri Lankan public and players. This is an absolute disgrace by the Aussie public. Also an ICC regional security chief was punched by spectators in Melbourne. This is absolutely pathetic again by a few members of the Aussie public. Firstly the team has brought a bad reputation to it self by showing bad behaviour on field and now the general public is joining in. Sri Lanka and South Africa are even thinking of boycotting future tours to Australia though I highly doubt it. I am not from any Indian, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lankan background but I really do feel sorry for those who sit with drunken, larrikin Aussie supporters who make taunts to their players and to the members of the crowd who support them. Every game I attend to the SCG you will be guaranteed that there will be racial abuse all day long and people saying "black c****". Also it doesn't help with professional players such as Lehmann (the incident with Murali) and Warne (to Ntini) who also have had history of being racist. I think some of the Aussie public think that if they can do it then so can I.
Well they say NZ have the worst crowds in the world but I reckon the Aussies are not far behind or perhaps ever more worse.

NZ crowds are bad? There are only ever crowd troubles in New Zealand when the Aussies are touring. I don't recall any problems in the recent Sri Lanka series or when South Africa toured last year.

I agree Greenidge. I have been to lots of games here and other than the Australia ones, the crowd is usually pretty tame.

Spot on, its cause of the rivalry NZ has with Aus. Any sport with Aus in it brings out the best in the Kiwis on and off the field. The fans hate the Aussies so much and it sometimes gets a bit out of hand.

I would say Aussie crowds are up there with the worst of the crowds.

whats with Hodge?

he dominates the domestic comp but stuggles at the elite level...neway Punter will replace him.
Hodge looks vulnerable in the test team too, i recon Clarke will be eyeing off his spot for the ashes.

He shouldn't have been in the ODI team in the first place. His game more suits the longer form of the game. Should of been David Hussey.

Jaques clearly is next in line and so he should be given he is the top scorer in ING. He has no 50s but 4 100s which shows he can convert a start. Cosgrove is next highest just over David Hussey.

Australias been a ticking racial time bomb since everyone moved there.

It's not acceptable and the situation needs to be addressed.

Those who are racist should be banned from grounds, including players and staff.

yeh cosgrove is looking great guns

totally dominating the ING cup (along with Jaques)
and he's still only 21!!!
feels like he's been around longer lol

its not the aussies its the ex-pats...they flood here

Jacques needs to be in for Hodge I rekon. 94 on debut, he deserves more games.

thats because no one turned up! :D

are you saying it's australias fault that your crowds hate us? maybe they cannot stand the fact that we are better then you

i used to live in Christchurch and ur average kiwi has issues with australians

i dont know what it is but they love to bag them, and have built up some bizarre sporting rivalry that the australians dont care about lol.

anyway Australians are superior beings lol like it or lump it! haha

Hodge has to take rest and jaques has to be in for next match, and is ponting playing or not in next one ?
