yep if australia win the toss in both games...especially sydney then they will win the series for sure.

But if they are chasing will the be able to chase down 340? Making 340 is a lot easier than chasing it especially against Murali and Bandara.

Ouch, Pollock got a bad call. YAY SL Made it through. South Africa had no chance even if they did get through anyway.

With South Africa's defeat today, they drop 3 points and slide to 116. Pakistans victory over India saw them jump two points to 118. So the top of the table now looks like this.

Australia 135
Pakistan 118
South Africa 116

pakistan at second, i think they will loose the series from india and then again will drop down but for s. africa luck is not in their favour, cuz kallis was out in whole series and he is the key player for them and even nitini was not in the side.

Not really, there bowling was under strength - Can be fixed by returning players.
Batting - One of their best batsmen is out.

Its not the quanity of batsmen that will win you games but the quality! 5 Tendulkars is better than 10 Robert Key's. ;)

I think the SA selectors have something to think about...

As mentioned I don't think they have anything to think about in terms of selection, or not any major things anyway. However they will have to think about the batting order and its strengths in different situations, which they have started to do a little more lately.

I think they have a major weakness in that middle order. Players like Prince struggle to get runs and/or high scores.

I could live with a batting order entirely of Robert Keys. It would get a bit tricky feeding them, though.

I cant believe it,we played terribly.I don't like to make excuses, but we bowled extremely badly this whole series, and I think that it was this, coupled with some poor batting form that cost us.Well done Sri Lanka,I hope they beat the Aussies to lessen our embarrasment.Hopefully things will be different when the Aussies come down here and we have Ntini,Nel etc back and the crowds behind our players.

In some games not having your best bowlers cost you, but I believe it was the batting which cost SA. Chasing scores like 250 are very gettable if you bat smart. SA have guys like Kemp to finish an inns off so those types of totals should be gettable.

Also Aus have named their squad for the VB final, Lewis in for McGrath rest is the same.

Didn't expect Sri Lanka to beat Australia. But I am still favouring Australia to win 2-0.
