The most likely scenario is Lee and Johnson ripping apart the Pakistani lineup.

I think that was the penultimate nail in the coffin for India. Australia need to lose pretty badly for India to have a chance, and even then there's no guaranteeing that we will beat the Windies.

Both games (Pak vs Aus) and Ind vs WI are on the same day. Which means India would be starting their game against West Indies not knowing if they are actually out. While the game is going on, score updates from the other game will be sent in and the NRR calculations will have to done pretty fast so that India can know by the time the second innings starts as to what they need to do (i.e. if Australia lose to Pakistan)... Uff! How complex it can get if Australia lose. God, please get us 20 overs here somehow!:help

The Pak-Aus game is a day game and the India-Windies game is a day nighter.

We rarely or dont see Australia choking in these situations.

It maybe unlikely, but it isn't impossible, is it? Remember how France came back in the 2006 FIFA World Cup after badly losing their initial matches? The French team, who played the finals that year, would have crashed out from the group stage, had they not beat Togo 3-0 in their last group league match. Maybe luck will favour MSD's boys like this in the 09 CT. Who knows?

Yeah, but Australia-Pakistan starts at 9:30am local time, and India-WI starts at 2:30pm local time. An innings goes for 3.30 hrs and so the first innings of the day game should end at 1pm. A 40 min lunch and the 2nd innings should start at 1:40pm. So when India and WI start their game, the second innings of the day game should have completed only 10-12 overs at the maximum.

I reckon it will be a miracle if India make it through. We also don't deserve to make it through TBH, Pakistan and Australia have looked far better teams than India in this tournament.

All those 'deserving' stuff should be thrown into the closet. If you go by that ideology, Australia didnt deserve to win the 1999 World Cup. There, they came back after a torrid start to create a storm and grab the cup.

Only because of our pathetic bowling *looks at Ishant Sharma*
Time for Ishant to rest and develop himself back to 140-150mph bowling in the nets for a while, and bring some damned variations.

Oh well we're out for sure now, unless by some miracle Pak thrashes Australia..which is impossible, Aus is too tough a team to be thrashed by Pak infact its an easy win for them.

The first thing India must do is drop I Sharma , look his last 10 matches, he hasent got many wickets, just giving runs, and only runs...

Watson might be the one that have to make way for Haddin, if he continues to play like this.

Haddin and Paine opening combo, would be pretty nice to see.

Luckily for Watson he can also bowl and he's also a good fielder, the same can't be said for Paine/Haddin.
