FOOTBALL FIFA World Cup 2010

Sri Lanka and India should both be playable as they were in the Asian WC Qualifying. It's all 199 nations that entered the qualification process for the World Cup.
Are they licensed? but doesn't matter if they aren't i don't know anyone in the team.

I think they are. Some of the players don't have commentary names but I think they are all real. This is from the Wikipedia page:

The included teams were confirmed by Electronic Arts on 17 February 2010. The game contains 199 of the 204 national teams that took part in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification process. Electronic Arts stated that they have included every team that FIFA have permitted them to use, with some others not being allowed for "various reasons". The five teams that were in the draw for World Cup qualifying but are not included in the game are African teams Central African Republic, Eritrea, and S?o Tom? and Pr?ncipe, and Asian teams Bhutan and Guam. All five withdrew from the qualifying stage before it began. Additionally, the game will not feature Brunei, Laos, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines who did not participate in World Cup qualifying.

The game includes all 10 venues used at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as stadiums from each qualifying region and a range of "generic" stadiums.

I got it i think the saturday after it came out, and it is much better than the original FIFA10, however, the game doesn't as much as a lifespan as FIFA10, because once the World Cup is over, i don't see how I will be attracted to play this game.

That's why I never get these one off tournament games.

Well it has all the qualification stages, so it's not just limited to the World Cup itself, as it has in past versions.

Maybe so, but after this World Cup is over and done with, I won't be wanting to play another tournament with vuvuzelas. ;)

The gameplay itself is amazing - I have played the demo extensively on PS3, and it is better than Fifa 10. If Fifa 11 is going to be based on this game's engine, we're in for a real treat - finally, I'm going to get my hands on a great Fifa game! Can't wait!

oh goody,so when's the pc version coming out?

Not sure if it is coming out on PC. There is no mention of it anywhere.

Even if it was, it would be rubbish, just like Fifa 10 PC. They would be far better advised to miss out on this one for the PC, and put all the work into Fifa 11 PC, for there is much to be done.

And if they fob us off again, then I'll be getting it on PS3. :)

Yeah it's good, fully worth the much reduced price tag compared to FIFA 10. Although I believe FIFA 10 has dropped in price just recently.

I have to say, Fifa NG is great. SO much better than the tosh they deal out on the pc. I'd say its as good as pes imo (fifa world cup 2010 xbox 360) and that is some compliment.

I couldn't say no when it was under half price at the store. Will give something to do these holidays.

Only my second game and already a game ruining bug! Italy had a corner against me (NZ), and there keeper came into the box for some tweaked up reason! I got the ball and ran the length of the field to tap it in with the goalie pursuing me the whole way :doh

What minute of the game was it? Also, what platform are you on? I have played this game with my mate probably near a 100 times and I have never once seen the goalie come up unless it was the final minute of the game.

I'm on PS3, It was mid way through the second half. Since then it's been fine so I'm sure it was just a one-off. I'm loving this game right now though, and I'll be having some classic NZ vs Cambodia matches in the weeks to come. I'm not sure on the longevity of it though as I don't see much else on offer after I've won the WC a couple of times.

How can they have teams like Kazakhstan and Samoa, but not have two of NZ's best players who started every game? Pissed off
