Help Booth

Ah ok I thought you'd done some work with the scratch brushes. Are you planning to put a picture onto the background at all?

My advise it to get the main subject done first then worry about adding effects afterwards, if you do it the other way around it becomes effects driven rather than subject driven and thats what spoils a lot of this stuff.

Ok mate. I will put the pictures on and then you can help me yeah?

Ok, I've put on the pictures. Now what?

How does everoyone cut so cleanly when using the free cut thingymawut...(where u select only the thing which u want by keeping your hand really still..) Is that how you do it or is there an easier way?

theres that maganeic lasso or something...thats a lot easier...for me anyways...

The pen tool is an ideal tool for cutting, just use it and make sure that you enlargen the image, that really helps to cut it precisely.

What I would reccommend(Im not sure if the photoshop experts such as Kev and Matt will agree with me or not) is to get you main pictures for your wallpaper in first, after that try finding colours that you think will suit your background rather than doing the background first, its something which I use for signatures as well and I think it helps.

Yeah, I've done that. Now what do I do? It looks a bit bland with just a plain colour background and the pictures. is there anything you know to do sid? Any tutorials you can give me for something good to be in my background.

Yeah, but I don't think you guys understand me. What I mean is, on the actual background, how do you make it look good. For example on your Shevchenko wallpaper, you had the cool stripe effect. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Tutorial or anything?

You know. Near the bottom of your Sheva wallpaper, you had these stripes in a cool pattern. How did you do that?

I just used rectangular marquee to create the lines, filled them with black using paint bucket and then applied some polar co-ordinates.

Well i'd just use one render and maybe use another one with lower opacity in the background. Show me a screenshot of what you've done so far.

Ok mate. Here is my work so far.
