Hexing Up the SAV

can u tell me where are the values for the games that u mentioned in the pic attached with this
I managed to change the Intl Knockout name in the save menu to ICC Champions trophy but iam unable to find the fixtures and teams values in the sav
Please indicate the above in the attached pic
plz reply soon

The pic you've posted is of a text string and not relevant. Got to the offset Prashant has said and edit the hex string there.

i have not yet given the offset...i posted something but somehow the connection failed me...well the thing aditya is looking at just changes the text of the file in the load menu...i'll post the offset soon

Iam unable to open the GOB as it gives an error " Unable to load file, system memory is low . try changing max file settijngs in options menu "

dude why are u so impatient??? i have just written above that i havent yet given the offset...and hell i know anything abt hexing the gob??? i wouldnt dare to do that...there are more experienced people doing that...all the offsets talked abt in this thread are in one or the other sav files...so chill out!

Ok here is how the knockout in England looks like when it is initially saved...

4CA9 thing is the start of every tournament and tour in C2K4...the offset is 785956...
From 785988 the teams are listed most probably in alphabetical order so at 785988 is 00 i.e.australia and 785992 is 07 i.e. England and so on...
The first match is Australia v WI i.e. 0027 at 786052... so now add up this bit of knowledge with everything posted above in this thread and start messing around...

btw the screenshot u posted has the offsets in hex so don't get confused...the offsets i am providing are in decimal system...

Ok...the method to make a tour or tournament

1) Select the tour or tournament from the default C2K4 that matches the schedule u wanna make.
2) then find the offset from which the matches begin.
3) find where all the teams are listed above this offset and change them according to ur schedule.
4) then change the schedule as u want it to be.

all these steps will be explained soon in detail...so don't worry...this is how i go abt it.

i savd the england knockout at teh start of game 1 .
Opened the sav file with hex editor
i did not find anything of the sort of offset 785956 ....so on
I could not find the 4CA9 thing too
are they present in the knockut sav file ??
Please give us an illustration with a screenshot

i think this should answer u both...run a search for 4CA9...there should be multiple answers to the search...find the 4CA9 around which the bytes look like the ones I have posted above... one other sure shot way of finding these offsets is to remember from ur experience of playing the game that which teams are definitely playing in that tour or tournament...e.g. in knockout it always is Aus-WI and Ind-RSA...so search for 0027 or 2700; or 0D1E or 1EOD...there shouldn't be many entries of this sort...but if there are then the right ones have to be found out by looking at the surrounding bytes...

one more thing...the hex editor that has been given by Prakash lists the offsets in hex...its fine for people who are able to comprehend those huge offsets in hex...but for novices i suggest Hex Workshop 4.23...it gives the offsets in decimal system and hence u can jump to the offsets i have given above directly...

do the venues not have a fixed hex code in c2k4 ?
It seems so ! I used the code D4 for the knockout game and it worked as the Brit oval .
When I used the same code for the world series game match , the stadium came out to be Birmingham or it showed up Docklands as the stadium !!
Even when i used some sub continent stadia codes it was the same case

Sachinisgod, can u please send me all the venue codes u know bcoz i have my Engg. Entrance exam lectures from monday and don`t have time to search for all the stadia codes
If u can give me the venue codes which u know in a .txt thru a pm , i have plans to release a variety of tournaments in the next two days (with india as user team of course)) . please do the needful .
Tourneys I plan to release are :
E.G Asia cup in Ind, Pak, Srl with all the four teams
A minnows tournament featuring Canada,Namibi,Kenya,Netherlnds
Ind,SA,Pak,Win tournament in the caribbean
Ind,Nz,Aus,SA in SA
many more if i get the venue codes quickly
