Pietersen was now at the crease, and the hard hitter needed to pull England out of trouble with 2 quick wickets falling. But from the word go he didn't look comfortable. Hogg was bowling an excellent line and then produced a beauty of a delivery. It spun a mile and caught the edge of Kp's Woodworm Torch. Gilchrist behind the stumps was alert and made a smart catch to his right. Hogg got his 3rd and you could sense England wasting their wonderful start.
With Hogg on fire and Collingwood and Joyce at the crease, England needed a big partnership. Collingwood got off the mark with a clip through the leg side for two. Hogg pitched one up on leg stump and Collingwood went for the clip again. This time it came high off the bat and went towards McGrath at square leg and McGrath was never going to drop it. It went straight in the palms of Glenn McGrath at square leg and Hogg knew that it was a big wicket to get England 4 down. Hogg now had 4 wickets and was on fire.
Next in was Andrew Flintoff who needed to stick around with Joyce and play a responsible innings. The whole of the England team resting on these two's shoulders Joyce had a long chat with Flintoff. Flintoff managed to block off the few balls and England got to the 20 over mark.
