Linking Players / Teams

Once we have some good teams full of linked players, everyone will be able to download them as follows:

Team Link Instructions

(1) Create or download a team.

(2) Go to [Teams]->[Team Link].

(3) Select Team to be linked.

(4) Select team from Linkable Teams to replace Team in (3) above.

(5) Three tick boxes will appear (Identity, Uniforms, Players).
Elements in ticked boxes will be replaced with data from the
replacement Team.

(6) Select 'Replace'.

At some point in the near future we will enable features that download the best teams automatically and link them for you.

Player Link Instructions

These instructions are for those that are creating complete teams
and want to link them to the default players that will be shipped
with the game.

(1) Create a team or 'Copy Team Locally' from
[Teams]->[Online Community]->[Most Popular] or [Custom Search]

(2) Go to [Player]->[Player Link].

(3) Select search option 'Belongs To Team' and search for the default
team with players to be replaced with players from (1) above. Default
teams are indicated by an asterisk (*).

(4) Highlight Player to be replaced.

(5) Select 'Set Link'.

(6) List of Linkable Players will be shown.

(7) Select player that will replace default player.

(8) Five tick boxes will appear (Identity, Visual, Attributes, Skills, Stats).
We recommend to untick 'Stats' as the default players are balanced.
Elements in ticked boxes will be replaced with data from the replacement
player.

(9) Select 'Replace'.

(10) Continue for remaining players - Repeat from step (4) to (9) if there are more to replace.

Still confused man. Do you want us to link players first? Or link teams?

In your case players, then teams is probably best.

Everyone else can just link to your teams after they have been downloaded.

I tried un-linking a team, and the original 'disc' team is no longer on my team list at all?

In the case were I accidentally replace the stats, will I be able to get his default stats back?

I second that. Tried unlinking and the originial disc team vanished.

I had created a few players earlier and today I tried to add them to any particular team. The list of teams is populated, but one has to scroll through the list, either alphabetically or in reverse order, till you reach the team you are looking for.

Can you please provide functionality just as any normal drop-down cell works i.e. once the list comes up, you hit "I", it takes you straight to entries which begin with letter "I". That would be real time saver.

That would really be helpful. One thing I find missing big time in CA.

I've definitely made the mistake of linking teams instead of players...really need the original disc teams back!
