Binnu is lucky he thinks Bond is a better batsman than Southee because Southee would have been ahead of Bond if he was playing but he wasn't so Southee was at 10. Anyway, I got 45,000 vcash.

Actually no... :p
Since Bond has been back playing international cricket, he has been batting ahead of Southee.
E.g. - 1st ODI: New Zealand v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Nov 3, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
2nd ODI: New Zealand v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Nov 6, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
3rd ODI: New Zealand v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Nov 9, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com

But,i feel Tim Southee can push to be a bowling allrounder like Mitchell Johnson or Irfan Pathan.
He's got some serious slogging skills. :p

Btw, thanks bcv. I copy pasted your line up and as it won't look nice if we both have same line up, I tweaked some players;) btw, thanks for vCash cg:) I can't read the story as I'm from mobile:(

I agree with bcvs there. He has been batting ahead of him in Tests though.

They'll actually never played a test together, in real life. :p
Since the ICL, Bond has only played in the first Pakistan test, which Southee didn't play in.

I thought Southee batted ahead of him in the second or third test. He was batting behind McCullum, I think.

New Zealand fight back, after a horrendous batting display

It was a minefield in Lahore, as neither captain at the toss picked the carnage that would unfold, on the opening day of the second test between Pakistan and New Zealand.

After winning the toss and batting first, New Zealand made a solid start through McIntosh and Fulton. They put together a steady 39, before Kaneria trapped McIntosh leg before wicket for 17. Flynn came to the wicket, and he and Fulton continued this good start for New Zealand, taking them up to 86 for one. This time it was Afridi who broke the partnership just before lunch, getting rid of Flynn for 23. The BLACKCAPS went to lunch at 90 for two, with Fulton not out on 43.

After lunch, New Zealand plain and simply sucked. If you include the wicket they lost just before lunch, they lost their last nine wickets for under 85 runs. It was once again Kaneria who wasted them up, taking five wickets for only 41 runs.

It was Pakistan's turn to face the music after tea. Southee and O'Brien both started off with some inspired spells of opening bowling, both getting through eight very economical overs. It was O'Brien though who got the early breakthrough, as he had Jamshed caught at short leg for 13. Southee then ripped a short one in to a struggling Umar, who couldn't get out of the way in time. It was a sick side for all, as he received a nailing in his ribs, and had to stroll off retired hurt. Oram then came on first change, and picked up one of the key wickets of Younis Khan for just five. Taylor then needed to keep the pressure on, and done it by bringing on arguably the best spin bowler in the world Daniel Vettori. He picked up two wickets in only eight over's of bowling, to have Pakistan reeling on 90 for four, at the end of day one. Really Pakistan are five down, with Umar more than likely not going to be coming back on.

Pakistan would of enjoyed the middle session of the first day, but New Zealand really managed to come fighting back in the final session. A few early wickets in the morning could keep New Zealand in the test, but one big partnership by Pakistan could put them out of it. Join us tomorrow for day two, of the second test between Pakistan and New Zealand.

Short Scoreboard

New Zealand | 172 all out Peter Fulton 43 . | Danish Kaneria 5 - 41 Jesse Ryder 24 | Shahid Afridi 2 - 43 Daniel Flynn 23 | Umar Gul 2 - 53

Pakistan | 90 for 4 Mohammad Yousuf 27* | Daniel Vettori 2 - 19 Nasir Jamshed 13 | Jacob Oram 1 - 18 Khurram Manzoor 13 | Iain O'Brien 1 - 32

NZ have got a good start with the ball here.Still Yousuf needs to be dismissed as he can take the game away.NZ batting was certainly very poor.Like that cricinfo presentation.

Hmm this is more likely like a NZ-PAK test. Low scores!!
Good with the graphics and the match report!!
