We warp you four years into the future of New Zealand Cricket. It's the year 2014, April the 1st to be exact.

Callum Gray has now completed his fifth season in charge of the BLACPCAPS, they have climbed three spots in the test match rankings, and one spot in the one-day rankings. He suffered a horror start to his coaching regime, suffering back to back three nil test series wipewashes in both Sri Lanka and Pakistan, but things have changed a lot since then, a hell of a lot.

If you want to join New Zealand's quest for world domination, stare into the spiral, and move into the year 2014.

New Zealand's 2014/15 Season Guide

World Rankings

Ratings based on the most recent meetings (home and away) between teams.
Series win = 2 points, Series loss = 1 point.

Test Championship

Rank | Country | Points 1 | Sri Lanka | 25 2 | India | 24 3 | Australia | 23 4 | New Zealand | 22 5 | England | 20 6 | South Africa | 19 7 | Pakistan | 17 8 | West Indies | 12 9 | Bangladesh | 10 10 | Zimbabwae | 6

One Day International Championship

Rank | Country | Points 1 | India | 28 2 | New Zealand | 24 3 | England | 23 4 | South Africa | 22 5 | Sri Lanka | 21 6 | Australia | 18 7 | West Indies | 17 8 | Pakistan | 14 9 | Bangladesh | 8 10 | Zimbabwae | 3

New Zealand are sitting hansomly inside the top four, of both the main formats.
Callum Gray over the past five years has really managed to lift New Zealand's test match game, and they will have a chance to push further up that ladder with two series' against Australia, who are just one place above them.
They'll have to be wary of both England and South Africa, two very strong sides sitting only two and three points behind them respectively.
In the one-day game New Zealand are well posed in second position, but they lead fifth place Sri Lanka by just three points.
There next task will be to reel in a clinical Indian outfit, which are four points clear of all the chasing pack.
Australia have perhaps been the major disappointment over the past few seasons, dropping all the way down to sixth place in the one-day rankings.

World Player Rankings

Ratings based on performances since 2009, adjusted for the strength of opposition and favouring most recent matches.

Test Match Batsmen

Rank | Player | Country | Points 1 | Chamara Kapugedera | Sri Lanka | 893 2 | AB de Villiers | South Africa | 885 3 | Phillip Hughes | Australia | 858 9 | Daniel Flynn | New Zealand | 777 15 | Martin Guptill | New Zealand | 706 32 | Ross Taylor | New Zealand | 594 34 | Jesse Ryder | New Zealand | 575 36 | Brendon McCullum | New Zealand | 549

Sri Lankan batsman Chamara Kapugedera leads the test match batting rankings, after a fantastic 2013/14 season.
South African AB de Villiers has maintained some splendid form over the past several years now, continuing to threaten the top spot.
The leading New Zealand batsman is their number three test match specialist, Daniel Flynn. He'll play his fiftieth test match, in the first test of the season against England.
Martin Guptill has matured heavily, into a test match quality opener. There middle order of Taylor, Ryder, and McCullum are also ranked inside the top 50.

Test Match Bowlers

Rank | Player | Country | Points 1 | Saadat Munir | Pakistan | 936 2 | Daniel Vettori | New Zealand | 912 3 | Amit Mishra | India | 904 10 | Jacob Oram | New Zealand | 846 12 | Kyle Mills | New Zealand | 843 27 | Timothy Southee | New Zealand | 724

Surprisingly the top three test match bowlers are all spinners, including New Zealand's own legendary all-rounder Daniel Vettori.
The BLACKCAPS pace trio if Oram, Mills and Southee are all ranked inside the top 30, but the search is still out to find a quality opening bowler.

One Day International Batsmen

Rank | Player | Country | Points 1 | Martin Guptill | New Zealand | 847 2 | Anthony Hammond | New Zealand | 783 3 | Mohammad Rizwan | Pakistan | 755 6 | Jesse Ryder | New Zealand | 686 13 | Kane Williamson | New Zealand | 600 29 | Brendon McCullum | New Zealand | 469 31 | Ross Taylor | New Zealand | 457

Both New Zealand's openers are ranked one and two respectively, almost always giving them a good start.
They also have two middle order players ranked inside the top 15, as well as McCullum and Taylor around the 30th mark.

One Day International Bowlers

Rank | Player | Country | Points 1 | Stuart Broad | England | 926 2 | Saadat Munir | Pakistan | 926 3 | Graeme Swann | England | 926 9 | Daniel Vettori | New Zealand | 905 15 | Kyle Mills | New Zealand | 883 45 | Jacob Oram | New Zealand | 587 49 | Timothy Southee | New Zealand | 564

The one day international bowlers rankings have been dominated by Englishmen, including two inside the top three.
It has also been something that New Zealand have struggled at, with Vettori and Mills being the only ones inside the top 44.
