Hmm,possibilty,but there is alot of talent in Australia.The next spinner into the aussie squad,will be Macgill,then..........there is a whole lot of talented youngsters,it just depends who wants it more.Why do you think he is so good?

Giles the best spinner? Giles' first tactic is to pitch it outside leg stump so he doesn't give runs. In test matches. His team doesn't use him half the time because he is a liability. Come to think of it, I don't understand why he is in the team. I guess he can hold his own with the bat against sub-par teams.

Danish Kaneria definitely impressed me after I watched him bowl during the India tour. He troubled the Indian batsmen a bit, which is more than Warne can achieve. As for Kumble and Harbhajan, we will never know how good they are since they can't play against India. I don't rate Harbhajan that highly (he is somewhat a one-series wonder). Kumble is an old warhorse that doesn't seem to be getting wickets but yet gets the statistics on the board. And doctored Indian pitches won't really help him because he doesn't spin the ball that much. He uses variations in speed and flight to fetch his wickets. And he strategizes heavily--plays on the batsmen's mind.

So I would rate Kumble as the next best spinner and Kaneria as a possible future favorite since he looks to be quite a good future prospect for Pakistan. South Africa, England, West Indies and New Zealand do not really have quality spinners.

Someone on some page had said Giles was the best guy on that list. I was just disagreeing. MacGill is decent IMO, but not one of the best in the world. I don't see how Vettori, Giles or MacGill can get votes off that list, but that's my bias (and others').
