Hey guys cut it down. Instead of arguing with each other, and mudslinging, which has become part of every god damn thread that has "Pakistan" in it these days, due to both Indian and Pakistani posters alike, it is adding no value.
It will be unfortunate if Pakistan pulls out. First of all, there are in no position to bargain in International cricket. Secondly, they are indirectly shooting themselves by reducing chances of playing cricket, which is already next to zero. Thirdly, it is unfortunately BCCI that rules cricket, and to antagonise them, who have atleast supported the Asian bloc in the past, and PCB in particular, could deal the death blow to cricket there.
The fact that India is secure or not to hold cricket is best measured by other countries' willingness to tour her. It might be due to the bucks, but common sense suggests every player puts life ahead of bucks. Hence there are many examples like Warne, Smith and Watson continuing in Jaipur despite the bombings there, England resuming their tour after 26/11 etc which shows International cricket community considers India as safer than Pakistan. And fit enough to hold the WC.
In the unfortunate situation of security weakening in India, leading to many bombings across the country in the next 2 years, surely would make it a valid reason to locate the cup out of India as well, and I will support it. However as it is now, India is safe enough to hold that tournament. (Of course barring the chance that the govt falls by then, and we have another round of polls during that time!)
