Elements is far more than a photo touch up tool, it is very comprehensive and you can do almost everything with it that you can do with photoshop. I work in the photo industry and have done so for longer than most members have been alive here. Can't agree with that. Recreational use is as good as home use, no? Haven't used Elements, but I guess it's basically a photo touch up tool. Not sure it can be used to create serious artworks. A look at the graphics thread will help to understand what I mean. Also by "The fact that you want the business software and you can't afford it is your problem not the software companies.", do you mean to say that anyone who doesn't have enough money shouldn't indulge their passion, that it is the preserve of the rich? Note, it's a question. In fact isn't this exactly why softwares are not vodkas? You can let someone use a software who can't afford it, yet you wouldn't loose anything.
And yes it does come down to price. Photoshop is marketed at businesses and if your business requires it, its not a lot of money to shell out even if you are a one man photographer doing weddings or something, it pays for itself very quickly. If you are a home user and you want to use professional tools then you need to pay for them. I'll continue with the vodka analogy. I like vodka, I drink vodka. I would like to be able to afford to drink the best vodka in the world, but you know what I can't. Do I bitch that the best vodka is too expensive? No, I buy a cheaper vodka I do not steal a bottle of the best vodka.
Then there is the choice. Free music with Adverts or buy the tune and don't get the adverts. People who make mods here at this site get very upset when someone else rips off the mod and claims it for themselves. Musicians make a living out of their music. I think they have a right to be paid for it. If they want to do it for free then that is their choice not yours.Actually even the ad based revenue system is despicable. The users are, or will have to eventually put up with a lot of crap to be able to get the songs they want. Considering the no. of people who listen to music
