Wow... 0-88 whilst bowling and 8 in batting! Not one of my best performances but at least the team won! :) Well done guys! :)

That was not south surrey cc that was the team my friend told me about from a book :p

- Bound For Glory
- The Big Test

Waking up on the final day I felt more nervous than on any other, i trundled downstairs and spoke to both Arslaan and Sarvesh about the day, everyone was excited and we headed off to the Edinburgh Stadium usually used for football and were all really really pumped for this huge occasion. Rossco and Connor got a bit over excited and it took Suren and Louis to stop them singing football chants on the way to the ground. I am feeling good and although we are against a strong side I can smell a win.

As we arrived at the stadium we went straight to the changing room and sat inside as Suren went out for the toss almost immediatly. A lost toss and batting first, although Suren was obviously not happy he stayed optimistic and today Ross Burden looked very happy and chatted to him about his bowling and the field positions for such a big game. I tried to get my head straight, put my kit on and headed to the toilet for a quick poo before having to pad up.

So i've padded up and watched Suren and Sarvesh march out to bat as usual. Both batters watch the ball carefully and play sensibly against the openors before the first change leg spinner comes on and wraps up both in the same over. First Suren comes down the pitch and chips one to Mid off and then only a few balls later Sarvesh leaves one outside off stump and is embarrasingly bowled by the wrong-un. So I was in batting with Tom Carr and watching the leg spinner tie both of us up in knots. With such a good stock ball it was hard to score off him and Tom Carr decided he was going to hit out of get out and he did. After smashing 28 from 11 he finally missed one and was stumped after some powerfull batting. In next was master spin player Rameez and he looked to be more confident against the leggie. He used his feet well but also took the attack to the bowler and scored an awesome 37 from 22 with a show of powerful hitting and solid technique. Rameez played all through my innings of 72 and supported me well. We built a large score before I was finally run out by cover coming through for a quick single. In next was Tom Baker and he just went for the bowlers. Him and Rameez put on a solid 100 and Rameez once again kept his partner on strike and produced an awesome innings. With the score as it is with them chasing 290 odd we are in a position to really do well in this final. I just hope the boys can draw togethor and we can produce something special

A Short lunch and out to field defending just under 300 I am feeling good and if the boys bowl well we could win this tournament. Suren, Sarvesh and Louis sat planning and i talked to Tom Baker about our inclusion in the middlesex squad and our batting performances today. He seemed very happy and was pumped to be playing with such players as Strauss, Smith and Shah.

20 Overs in and we have taken them apart. With Rossco and Sarvesh starting with average performances things just got better. after both openors score 30+ Suren mixed the bowling about before he brought on Rossy Burden and started our road to glory. Almost immediatly Ross eliminated the top 5 batsmen and single handedly spun the side into an awesome position. His turn bounce flight and dip led him to 7 awesome wickets and the side to an awesome victory. For someone who has bowled very little throughout the tour he played an awesome game and was so perfect. The whole side performed well in the field but Ross was the key to victory.

So a great win and after the game we celebrated an awesome tour in the changing room, i couldnt have asked for any more and loved the week. With an unbeaten comp and huge personal success including my dream coming true and being invited to play twenty20 major league cricket for Middlesex I am so pleased to be going back but thankful for the experiance.

The evening was awesome a barbecue with all the teams we had played and other people including celebrity speaker HENDRIK LARSON. We all had a great night and it was a great way to cap of the tour. Everyone was happy and enjoyed the night but it was a good was to say goodbye before the season next summer.

So I will not be writing any more until next season when Middlesex starts (AFTER X-MAS) I will be saying how other members of my squad went (Planetcricket Members) and showing pictures of my performance as well as scorecards. I hope I have a good time and you enjoy my work here. So from me its goodbye until later in the year. Still post comments and advice/questions.

That was a nice win to end the match! Huge margin :clap Its time to enjoy X-Mas and NewYear before playing some cricket again. :)
