Real time Chat??

Not a fan of this, as MattW said this is not a social networking site. Part of the appeal of a forum is the delayed communication and the ability to selectively respond to statements.

Usually people who want to chat on PC do so on MSN.

A live chat channel could help the player engaging online matches. At the moment, when some disconnection occurs, player have to come to the thread then post it there and then he waits for other persons reply who may be angry because of disconnection. So it may take 15 minutes or so to start a new match. If there is a live channel the nplayer can instantly communicate by alt tabbing even between the game and also resolve any disconnection voes quickly saving the spam.
A vent channel would be awesome. I remember Earl_CG hosting a vent channel last year for Ashes Cricket 2009. that was great effort on his behalf:hpraise

I agree in part, but MSN is a bit too personal. I don't think I'd add a PC member to my MSN, but ventrilo/teamspeak/IRC are less personal, you can just log on and start talking to people who are interested in the match you are watching. The people who are watching the game may not be on my MSN yet I still want to talk to someone about the match, without having to add them. I could just sign on to one of those services and talk about the match to whoever's online.

But I think that it should only be available during matches and only for talk about those particular matches. It shouldn't be for random spam.

You're basically describing "Live Thread" which is something Matt said might be returning anyways.

I agree with what chewie said... MSN is personal. A ventrilo channel would be hot during the ashes matches or India-Australia or India- Pakistan matches... Nice banter
Its always fun when you watch a live match with some friends and even more fun when you watch with your arch rivals

Oh I didn't know that. That would probably be a decent addition though it should probably be only tried on low volume games at first like Bangladesh v New Zealand to see how it goes

Basically, if this gets implemented, I'd love to have a trail at the ongoing PCCL.

And I guess something like chat in facebook needs to be implemented (We can chat with our friends personally).
