TheArtofCricket.net

As the Arcade seems to be fairly popular, I've decided to add a new game to argue over. I tried a Darts game but it was a bit silly, as there was no skill involved at all, just point and click. There's too much of a margin for error in that game so decided to say no.
Then I tested a game called 'Ameriman' where you had to fly through the streets and avoid the cars and wine bottles, and sometimes zap them with your lazer eye beam. So orginal. NO!
In the end I decided to go for the ultimate test in hand-eye co-ordination, a keepy uppy game! It's called aveIt and was quite addictive when I was playing. You need a bit of luck and if you get that there could be some very high scores in the leaderboard! The crowd sounds do get rather annoying after a while though, just a warning.
It's now in the Arcade at TheCricketProject.com. I've set a rather low score to start you off!

EDIT: I would also like to point out that the change in theme is NOT the official one from whitehornmatt and holmie- that is coming soon as I've seen it, it's coded and looks great. This one is just a temproary one to make it look that little bit more professional while we wait and take the glare of blue and red away!

Apologies for double posting, but an early version of the custom theme for TheCricketProject.com by whitehornmatt has just been added. I assure you that the theme will continue to be worked on.

Lee, seems like a lot of stuff missing, such as title logo etc. any idea when that will be ready?

looks a lot better already though, good work guys

Yeah sorry about that, a little bit of oversight on my part, there were some settings that need changing that I forgot to mention. It should be fixed soon. Although it looks bad in IE from what I have seen, so I will have to figure out whats causing that.
I'm starting work on the theme for the screenshot gallery now

What are you guys using to make the website? Good old fashioned HTML or some program?
It uses PostNuke and Coppermine Photo Gallery, both of which use PHP, MySQL and XHTML, the last one is the bit where I do hand coded editing to make the design, the rest is mostly part of the softwares.

matt are you sure theres no way you can code the skin i made you?

It will be using holmie's graphics, but it's just the way in which they are going to be used, he has suggested a design that isn't quite within the scope of postnuke, although the image gallery could possibly do the parts that aren't possible in postnuke, because that might have the stuff that the design would need. I will do everything I can in making the site good

cool...i noticed it is still all screwy in IE :crying

Any idea when this will be rectified?

thanks...
