New Zealand's Tour of Bangladesh

Even today play has been cancelled, now win in this situatuon where 2 days has been washed off is not possible.

It won't be a draw if its not played at all, it will be considered abandoned.

He means if weather makes only a day or two of play possible and a draw results.

I sorta meant that yeah. Like if there was a minimum overs played to make a match. Mainly though whether say after 3 days of rain they just abandon the whole game.

Never know, if they do end up getting play in tomorrow 3 days, if the captain make sporting declarations. Don't see it happening mind you.

Yeah even if 1 over is bowled in the match and rain comes back again it will be a draw. Well obviously.

I think this game should be abandoned as no one can win it on from here.

Yes,winning here,is almost impossible, unless one team perfroms very very well and other gives away wickets,or plays bad cricket in all dept.

They should both declare their first innings. That would make it a interesting game:)

Been a long time since I remember the first 2 days of a test being completely washed out. Especially for a team playing Bangladesh/Zimbabwe.

Whoever wins the toss, if play will begin, should bowl first.

And I remember the match of India against Sri Lanka, where only on the fifth day or so the players were batting. The rest of the days were washed away.

Yes,I remember. Still the weather is not good. We might not have play today. We might have a play only on last 2 days.

That will never happen. Even I want to see such a game.

09:05 local time: There is lot of water on the covers and outfield is very soggy. If there is no rain in next few hours we might have an start but that is a distant possibility. The umpires are expected to have an inspection at 11:00 local time.

and its 12:00, and they have NO UPDATES :mad

i think it has something to do with NZ vs BD matches. i remember BD went to NZ long ago [01-02?], and 1st 2 and half days was washed out

Such a shame as the first test really built up more expectation for Bangladesh. In saying that I did see NZ dominating this match as they got their wake up call.

If this match is washed off, then NZ will win series by 1-0,becasue the series between them consisted of only 2 test matches, best of two,in India specailly we see test series of 2 or 4,rather best of 3 or 5,and we see 7 ODI (upcoming Eng tour of India),7 ODI between two teams is boring, and a very long streched series. It should be like 3 or ,max 5 Test, and 5 ODI max between 2 teams.

^^ why India always play 7 ODI vs NZ?

Start of Match Delayed by rain on Day Three of 2nd Test. Next Inspection by Umpires scheduled at 2:00 pm. - Tiger Cricket
